I know, there are two opinions about a third guy's entry..

Honestly, there is no requirement for a third person to make someone realise their love for their partner..
Totally agree..
Plus it has been overused to death in the shows in the most clichd way possible..
Already done twice in our show, specially with R trac k having an uncanny resemblance with this track.
But, I am super excited after watching the episode today and am looking forward to it all 😳😳
Have I gone mad, you may ask?😆😆
Let me tell you my reasons..then you share freely if you agree to them or not.
1. Dev and Sonakshi have reached a stagnant point in their so-called 'hate' relationship. The past has inflicted deep wounds on them. So much so, that even highly emotional moments just manage to drop their facades off for a few minutes & they are back to being their bitter selves.
The past seven years has gifted them expertise in being strong.
Even after the earthquake and the accident, where we clearly saw them becoming vulnerable, they quickly hardened their shells and started insulting each other.
Not even these could help them permanently drop their bitterness for each other.
So what next?
When chemical reactions proceed very slowly, you cannot just wait and sit for years for them to happen.
Then, you need a catalyst.🥱
Which accelerates a reaction without being consumed itself.
Jatin is a normal, nice guy. His body language with Sonakshi is totally chill. Her best buddy, I am sure Sonakshi hasn't thought about him as her partner and it doesn't seem even he looks at Sonakshi that way. He is plain protective and caring like what friends are.
Obviously, Dev doesn't know that. He thinks Jatin is the suraj in her life. This thought did not even cross Sona's mind that Dev could imagine Jatin as her sooraj, she got hell scared thinking it was about Soha.
Dev himself said in the morning, that he thinks Sonakshi hasn't moved on. Like we all discussed earlier, Dev was not angered by her presence but by her indifference. He is trying to challange that indifference only.
But what happens with J's entry?
He ends up being pushed to his edges. . .to find that he himself has not really moved on.
-Not only Dev, with Bijoy and Asha talking about J as a prospective partner, this situation would test Sonakshi too.
To her horror, she would not be able to look at him as a husband even though he may seem perfect for her and her family.
This might make Sonakshi realise she has not moved on either.
- Dev would be shocked and super emotional when he will get to know that the sun was actually his own daughter and not another guy. That Sonakshi found anchor in their love's physical manifestation..
He complains to Sonakshi quite vocally today that he never kept any secrets from her, that means he was irritated that Sonakshi did not let him know about her boyfriend.
He seemed all cool about giving cauliflower to the guy, ab kya hua Dev?😆
He never had visualized Sonakshi being with anyone else, that is a fact.
Did you notice how he was so affected already? Was angry and rebellious. Irked and irritated. Trying to garner her attention by all means.
- Obviously one bonus here is a new rang of DevAkshi😳 Dev's smirk when he was staring at her when she shared a glance with him, was to die for❤️😆
Shaheer nails with his 'insecure jealous boy' expressions anyway.
-This might give Soha-Dev bonding some time, they might bind well before they know the truth! Means some beautiful Dev-Soha moments😳
- What is the difference between R's situation and the situation now?
Dev was holding himself back then because of Ishwari. Sonakshi because of her family.
Now it will be only about them!
So, lets take a backseat while J acts as a catalyst and not a reactant.
A catalyst quickens the reaction, that is it.
Jatin is here to perforate and pin small holes in the walls made by these two very egoistic people.😳😆 Though we will be delusional to think his exit will bring about the reunion of Dev and Sonakshi..just the pre-soha phase.
