A film has to collect approximately double of what it was sold for so that distributors can recover their investment by getting their share of the collection.

Yes, according to Indicine a 90-100 crore total will give the film Hit verdict. But the problem is the variance in the figures: lifetime collections from the producers will be around the 110 crore mark, but from BOI it will be around the 85 crore mark. I will address this in my article soon.

Ignoring the producer figures of the film which have been manipulated, the actual lifetime collection of the film will be somewhere in the 85-90 crore range. BOI has given the film Below Average/Flop verdict, the verdict from other trade sources is awaited.
