Why doesn't Durdhara get any importance?

I don't really see this serial just sometimes only so i am confused about one thing.Durdhara is currently pregnant and we all know she was Bindusara's mother.Why doesn't she get any importance in the serial.I mean i know she isn't the heroine but still she was the mother of one of the Emperor's of India.She was Ashoka's grandmother .Why is she being shown as dumb and a character only for comedy purpose.I mean even Helena is more importanat than her.

I know this is just a serial but even serial wise if a queen is pregnant shouldn't she get more importance and respect from her king and his family.Especially for the time period this serial is being shown in?I am just confused is there a particular reason or just like that?

Why does everyone want Chandra to spend more time with Nandini shouldn't they want him to spend more time with the mother of his child?

Exactly this is Chandra and Nandini's love story so obviously they will be more important but atleast Durdhara and her relationship with Chandra can be shown more respectfully and not only for comic relief

It's possible to show a King of that era spending time with all his wives. Ekta did the same thing in Jodha Akbar. She had Akbar neglect Ruqaiya (and turned her into a typical vamp) and Salima in favor of promoting Jodha.

Firstly the comparison of JA to CN will be wrong because directors are different. Santram Verma(JA director) is a director of such calibre who even makes an balaji serial look good(ofcourse his temperament & treatment of actors is a different ball game 😡). The entire treatment of the era, characterisation, screenplay, background music, everything was on a different level in JA than in CN. In case of the later the only and only saving grace we have at hand is a good lead pair, who are carrying the weight of the series on their shoulder. Most of us who started watching this series are RT fans, who want him to be on screen by hook or crook, and he delivers even with mediocre material.

😆 if not logic then at least little bit respect can be shown towards a character who as per history was mother of one Emperor and grandmother to another Emperor of India.The disrespectful way of showing bother's me a lot.

As it is she will die so she wont be a hurdle in this love story.So before her death they can atleast show her little respectfully

Durdhara was actually the chief queen of Chandragupta. She was the mother of his heir. Definitely she had far more importance and power in his household than is being shown.

This show is based on a fictional character, so we can't expect much, but still, it lacks even basic common sense from whatever I see of it.

That is the problem with Hindi serials.They always show tings in black and white.So that viewers completely support one relationship and are against the other one.In fact Kings of that era had several concubines with whom they slept .They were never in a monogamous relationship with one wife.But like i said this is a Hindi serial so i don't expect them to show show things as they were.

But at least historical character can be shown respectfully and they can show some basic logic.Even if the entire story was fictional ,logically any husband would show love and respect to the mother of his child
