The promo has me shook ever since I've seen it. We all knew Ashwin was gonna die but his body falling like that! Goddamn, kudos to whoever came up with all this man 👏 And something like this on Indian TV... Really, like they advertise every time, "Indian television pe pehli baar!!!" 😆
Maya as a suspect has two sides to it. One is that she is the obvious suspect, given she put her history with Ashwin out in the open, in front of the media and all. But since she was getting ready for her wedding and just been in front of everyone's eyes the whole time, she's not the murderer, and the only one believing her will be Arjun (or maybe not even him) and Saanjh will somehow defend her.
Two is that she is the obvious suspect and the murderer, but they've somehow set it up so we believe she's not the murderer but in a ~twisted turn of events~ she really is. She has her way around things like that, like the way she set up the bar and bachelor party thing, so yes.
But that's just Maya. Coming to the other suspects:
1) Jhanvi: Another obvious suspect, given the gun scene and the hatred dialogue. But something tells me it's not her, because, well, the fact that it's so obvious. Maybe my expectations are set too high but I keep thinking Beyhadh will have a lot more mystery than this.
2) Arjun: Because he has openly threatened Ashwin and all that. But another way he could be a suspect if he has done all this for the money, so he murders Ashwin and puts the blame on Maya, going off with all her money and enjoying the rest of his life with it. 😛
3) Saanjh: According to other people, though it does seem unlikely to me. Obviously her love for Arjun and all could take her to an extreme, but still, very unlikely. I'd be awfully surprised if they do that, because that will have the story completely spin on its axes and go a new and very startling way.
4) Vandana: Unlikely but would be startling, again. She definitely isn't the murderer type though it looks like she's one of the few people who meet Ashwin before his death. Would be an interesting twist but the higher chances are that it won't happen.
5) Prem, Saanjh's Dad: This is very, very, v e r y unlikely, I know... But the thought of Prem doing the unthinkable for his daughter's happiness crossed my mind a few times. Again, would be a very interesting twist.
6) Ashwin's girlfriend: Think her role was too small to end up doing this, but who knows? Maybe she and Ashwin knew what Maya did in her past (let's assume she harmed someone) and the girlfriend wanted revenge. This one and Prem's one feel far-fetched, but I'm still putting it up for discussion 😊
And lastly, a new character related to the Mehrotras' past. That would be good to see, a new person and all the new possibilities! A new person could probably not like Maya or Ashwin so this would be a very good "ek teer se do nishane" step for them! So let's see.
