Baa Bahu Aur Baby received 6 awards at ITA this year. Following this success, the production house Hats Off is launching two new shows and a movie based on their hit sitcom Khichdi.
J.D Majethia, producer and actor of Baa Bahu, confirms, "We are launching two new shows on NDTV Imagine. One is about a joint family which will be the biggest ever on Indian television. The second show is Rishton Ke Rishtey which is about how people who do not have any relation with each other come together for some reason. It has an all female cast. Both will have a combination of old and fresh stars."
About making a film on Khichdi, he tells us, "We have not started work on it yet since our two new shows are coming. We will start it after February. We want to have same stars in the film but a different story. We are working on dates and the script."
Elated over BBB's success, he says, "We are very happy to receive so many awards. It feels nice when people come to you and tell you that we only watch your show in an entire week. We have provided new stories after every three episodes so we will continue with that. Now people are expecting a lot from us so we will entertain them more. I have always worked with good actors and I would love to repeat them in my new shows. Success is a team work and I think in BBB's entire team is very good."
Well, whether the new shows and the film will match up to BBB's achievements, only time will tell.
