Yes, Rudra is an amazing character. My MOST favorite character on this show. The reason I watch this show is Rudra. I only ever wrote one SS on this show and it was about Rudra. He is simply the best!
Lee. He is my discovery on this show. He is a superb actor. He has shown his range. The character he plays is truly complex. He has to act funny all the time, while inside he is not having as much fun as he pretends to have. His family's dysfunction has affected him a lot. He became a player because of it. He wanted to not take relationships seriously and always acted like nothing much mattered to him. (accept his brothers and family). But we saw he was a great friend too. He became Soumya's friend and from that moment on, he was fully loyal to her. That is why when he found out about her betrayal in hiding the Love Angel truth, he was so hurt and bitter. His acting in the KC episodes? I must have watched them 10 times over. He was superb.
He doesn't get angry much, and that is why when he does, it has an amazing effect. Same goes for when he is sad. He makes us all sad. He has that talent to make us feel what he is feeling. Rudra is one of the best-written characters on this show. I would venture to say the most layered character here. He is the one to watch. The dark horse. I always knew HE would be the one to step up to the plate, while Tej was chasing after Om.
What he has done for his family is a TRUE sacrifice. Because we all know he never wanted to get married or even be in a relationship. He is the guy who said that if he ever felt like having a relationship he would buy a "Ship" and call it "Relation". That guy today is agreeing to an arranged marriage. A guy who didn't want Shivaay to do his business deal marriage with Tia (Which was his choice to do, and he wanted to do it), is doing this only so Om wont have to, and Om and Tej stop fighting. In his heart of hearts he believes himself to be married. We saw how affected he was by the whole marriage thing. He agreed it meant nothing mostly because Soumya said so. But it did hurt him and we know it. So for him to accept this marriage is a lot harder. He has feelings for Soumya. But he has suppressed them and agreed to go ahead with this deal marriage. My hats off to him. He has proven what he is made of. Sorry, but he cannot be compared to Shivaay, or to Om. He respects people for who they are, and not their background. He doesn't judge others. He in MY opinion, is the best guy in this story. In fact, NO one can be compared to him!
