There is a flow of Bolly Stars who are more active & Spamming like anything on twitter

- Srk / Hrithik - Thanks / Pics / RTs / Still promoting

- Akshay - Khud hi promoting LLB2

- Varun - Quoting / thanks / promotion

- Big B - Khud hi itni saari khud ki pics floating

- Salman - He was fun earlier - Now he started spamming - APP / Doosron ka promotions

Now you login twitter & you will see STARS Doing what FANS used to do... no need for fanclubs... yeh khud hi itna jayda promotions pe lage hai...

Don't u guys think this is way too much... They should interact but not itna???

One look at your social media activity reveals a lot about you. That's why stars should show their personality on SM, and not random promotions of their movies, brands, magazines, shoots, shows, etc. IMO if I were a star, I wouldn't be on Twitter or any other social media. You should be on SM to have fun, connect (by connect I don't mean replying to fan mail), share different sides of your personality.

But when you have such a great following on SM, I guess it's difficult to not succumb to PR on your page. Earlier (and still) stars would buy newspaper articles to get their PRs to write articles gloating about their achievements. Now they do it khullam khulla in first person, because they get to do it for free. Also, I am sure a lot of these big stars have friends/family in the industry who would keep requesting them to tweet about some new trailer or to watch a film, as they feel those tweets would translate into tickets or YouTube views. Hence they end up looking vapid and boring.

I do not follow most of the celebrities on social media. Very few actually tweet like normal interesting people and I only follow some of them.

Finally we agree on something...

1. I would like to bring Salman's example - Earlier his random tweets were so much fun... he would tweet on anything... whatever he feels... tea, cup, makhi... anything... now just promtions... kabhi khud ka... kabhi doosron ka... only thing good he don't tweet daily... 2-3 days gap.

2. PR is bullshit... leave it on fans, they would promote more & in better way... earlier curosity & urge to seach on stars kept the hype... now they themselves promote & nothing left for fans to get excited...

Also i have never seen any trailer promoted by big celeb like salman or srk getting more tickets...

Twitter / FB should be fun, they should interact more about them, what they are in real life... random stuff... let FANS do the PR thing...
