Is it a present day norm in Indian TV serials that including a negative character in every soap , who spread sorrow and negativity around the leads , who always uses crass language , spews venom over the hero/ heroine, make viewers feel miserable creating a sense of negativism?
Is it not changing the society in a drastic way ? The negative characters portrayed in the serials are attracting many towards TV serials as they convey plotless negativism!šŸ˜•The variety, fiction and the dramatic element shown in serials, the women of all age groups are fascinated watching these TV soaps . Is it not true that serials are imbibing wrong family values in the social system which may destroy the cultural fabric of society?
In this serial why the antagonist Dadaji turned a blind eye towards this Mohini who is spoiling the family's peace and happiness ? Is it not a hypocrisy , criticising a young couple for their love and bonding and feeding the negativity ruling right under his nose !

I think it is too early to judge Dadaji's behavior and the family members interactions with each other. Dadaji may not be totally aware of Bua's true colors, though it sounds silly and clinched.

Coming to negativity, unfortunately that is needed in Indian family shows to create drama It is a chicken and egg situation, whether TV soaps present the happenings in society or they affect it. Don't we have negative people in real life too!! In my opinion, I can accept it as long as it is portrayed in a realistic manner.

Just like this post Viswa...
And I am so with goofy in thinking..
Dadaji's character still is undeveloped and yes negativity should be shown in realistic manner.

Thanks Adi for liking this one . 😊
This negativity is leaving a strain on our minds .anyway the big drama is there waiting for us when the surrogacy part starts . I want to sail the story on calm waters till that serious drama starts .

I really hope to see thought provoking posts like BV forum here, because the show's subject provides scope for that.

For now i only see Mohini (the widowed aunt) as the antagonist of the show. Dadaji is more like a man with rigid principles and strong ability to hold grudges. He might be against the lead couple but he cannot really be called the villain of their story. In a family, you cannot just throw people out if they have a habit of speaking thoughtlessly or negatively but it would give Dadaji some brownie points if he is able to gain some control over that woman's manipulative tactics.

As for your question: My answer is yes! Admit it or not but any show without an ounce of negativity would be tasteless. It's the ability of our lead characters to overcome or ignore such negativity that makes us enjoy their happiness. However, the writers and directors should know to include negativity without managing it to look annoying to viewers. Unfortunately DSDT writers have failed to do so. Mohini is just another run-in-the-mill aunt who seem to have nothing better to do than create tensions for others. Such negativity is simply tasteless to watch and becomes annoying! 😔

Serials are reflecting the other side of the life , because there is always two sides in the society / family . Good post Madhuri .
