Yes he has always been number 1 that's why he has lost almost all the clashes. Dil ko behlaane ka khayaal acha hai gaalib. You will say HAHK was the biggest hit before Gaddar released that's why Salman was number 1 before 2000. Ek movie se koi number 1 nahi ban jata. Aisa hota toh Sunny Deol abhi bhi number 1 star hai because no film has been able to cross Gadar's footfalls. Salman's overall success ratio from the beginning of his carrer isn't the highest. So he can't be number 1. He has more flops than hits and was very inconsistent in his performance before 2010. To be called as number 1 star, consistency is needed. After 2010, Salman's performance has been consistent but Amir's films do better so Salman is at number 2 currently.
