Like this serial, but...

The story and suspense is great, Jennifer as Maya is gorgeous and phenomenal, the pace is good enough to keep you interested, Saanjh is cute and tolerable (except for her psycho wedding rituals in the last couple of episodes 😕), BUT, Kushal as Arjun just doesn't cut it for me. He has zero screen presence and zero chemistry with either actress. I can't help but wonder how much better this show would have been if someone else was the male lead. I don't find his portrayal of love for Maya or friendship for Saanjh convincing. He merely appears to be going through the motions of those roles.

yeah😵 kushal cannot act and the scenes would come out much better if he could. it is a pity because his character and his parts could be much more compelling if he could only emote. also, his half unbuttoned shirt is annoying as well, I don't think it is necessary in every damn scene.

In my opinion I think he has improved since beyhadh had started ;)

I agree but he has definitely improved. He still needs to work on his acting skills though.

The revealing shirts were probably the director's call, but they have been a little less revealing since he was made MD. 😆

Re acting, it's sad but true. He's fairly good in scenes that require him to mildly flirt or express anger, but other than that, his character and acting fail to have a connect with the viewer.

One could argue that his nickname in the serial being "duffer", the viewers are not supposed to connect with him😆 and so his acting is such.

He's the one which I can't get connected in this show. Either over action or no action(expressionless acting) .

I agree with you on this part but Kushal has improved a lot.

The haldi romance, like most of the romance on this show, fell flat for me. I know it was meant to be romantic and hot - my eyes could see that, but my heart didn't (I was a tad eeked by Kushal, honestly).

He's the one that ruins the chemistry with both the leading ladies. He's the same constipated look of a chimpanzee plastered across his face all the time. If people call this hot, then they definitely haven't seen HOT couples in Indian TV ever😆 Just being overly touchy doesn't make a couple look hot. One has to create chemistry by playing off one's co-actor which Tandon can't do in this life.
