Last October, Katrina Kaif parted ways with a French cosmetics brand to launch her own retail venture. Now, it seems her arch rival, Deepika Padukone, has been roped in as the latest face of the company. A starlet from Versova says Dippy had been sending feelers to the L'Oreal brand officials to sign her, for it could be her ticket to the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Apparently, the actress even slashed her endorsement fee by almost 40 per cent to bag the offer. Wonder how Katrina will react to this!

But why wouldn't she?? She's at the top of her game & I am honestly shocked she wasn't picked before!!! She is so perfect for L'Oreal for always want the best beauties to be their ambassadors. DP fits that bill & HOW. Now she's HW endorsed too & they all find absolutely stunning which she is. It was only a matter of time before she was snapped up by them.

I don't get it. What's the big deal if she signs on for a lower fee? They all do that when they want a particular deal.

Deepika wants an international career and showing up at Cannes introduces her to the fashion world. So why not?

Katrina got her chance but she bombed pretty badly showing up all botoxed and puffed up with that horrible red hair. I don't think she cared much anyway. She clearly wants to stay in BW so this Cannes stuff doesn't matter to her.

^Btw, Loreal is a big company and a couple crores here and there don't matter to them. If you guys think Deepika is only getting it because of low fees, that's nonsense.

They can afford to get whoever they want. If they really wanted someone else, it's not like Deepika's 40% reduction matters at all.

People accuse DP's PR of being so hostile but I'm sure other stars do all the same stuff. Seems like DP is going to get this deal so they want to put as much negativity around it as possible.

All are crabs in a bucket.

i always saw it coming

they made a blunder signing katrina and after her horrible appearance with no presence whatsoever they took no time kicking her out

DP fits the bill perfectly

BW is such a fickle place..just in 2015 katrina had no flops from years and her statue was made and appearance in Cannes etc and now not even 2 years and she is no where..

her own retail brand..yeah perfect excuse..will see when that happens if ever..no one will let go a brand this big with such international coverage..especially not a fading actress..only fans can buy such crap!
