Oh ViTharv.
Only you two can love each other so much and hurt each other at the same time.
Atharv Sujata can be the biggest Drama Queen on this planet. We've seen it once before when Vividha had got him to meet his dad unknowingly. Then, he had even gone as far as to say that Vividha had pushed him away from her forever. And today again, Atharv said the meanest things in the meanest way because he was hurt and wanted to hurt Vividha too.
It was a proud day for Atharv today. He was interviewed by a media network as an example of an accomplished graduate, who had stayed in India for the benefit of his country. And as he was explaining why he loved being a dhoodhwala, a happy Vividha listened with pride and added that Atharv would never leave his country no matter what. But when the reporter asked Atharv who Vividha was, he told her she was his neighbour.
His neighbour.
And as an exasperated Vividha demanded and asked Atharv what he meant, all the unsaid words, pain and accusations that had built up inside him all came tumbling out.
Atharv wanted to know what Ravish meant to Vividha.
A shocked Vividha tried to explain. She respected Ravish because he had done a lot for them. But Atharv was not willing to listen. He kept insisting that she was hiding her feelings and not facing them. Of course he was basing his accusations on what had gone on the last few days, and the changed wording in the letter had been the last straw.
Vivi still tried to explain. She begged him to trust her because she didn't know how everything had happened. But Atharv didn't stop. He told her that if her heart was inclining towards Ravish then to let it do so.
An disbelieving Vividha asked if he was asking her to choose between him and Ravish and to her shock, Atharv said yes. Either he had a right on her heart or Ravish did.
Again a shocked Vividha asked him if it would not make any difference to him if she chose Ravish. But Atharv had gone too far to turn back. He wanted her to choose. Even though he knew it would kill him inside if she said Ravish. Even though he knew he was pushing her to say something she didn't want to say. Even though he knew it would break his heart, he didn't stop.
And finally Vividha had had enough. If he was going to be stubborn and push her, then she was going to push right back. And so when Sujata came out to say she was leaving for Delhi to go to Ravish's ceremony, Vivdha said she would go with her.
A shocked Atharv was stunned. Even though he had said all that he had, in his heart he never thought she would leave him. And as a devastated Vividha sat in the car with tears flowing down her cheeks, an equally devastated Atharv threw all the milk on the floor in anger and told a worried Uma to leave him alone.
Today ViTharv showed why they are so perfect for each other. They are both stubborn and frustrating yet everything they do is because they are just so possessive over each other. For Atharv, Vividha's heart and soul belong solely to him. Just the thought of Vividha even thinking about another man, kills him inside And for Vividha, Atharv's love is only hers. She fought society for him and waited for him because she wants only him and no one else.
ViTharv are so maddening you just want to shake some sense into them. But as much as they frustrate you, they make you love them. Because you know their love is special and you're not going to get to see something like this again.
