Six actors of Left Right Left have been sacked from the show because of their unending tantrums

A still from Left Right Left

Looks like the starry tantrums of the six cadets of Left Right Left became too much to bear for producers, Tony and Deeya Singh. The six cadets - Priyanka Bassi aka Naina, Gazal Rai aka Pooja, Vikas Manaktala aka Huda, Arjun Bijlani aka Alekh, Harshad Chopra aka Ali and Kunal Kapoor aka Yudi- have been sacked from the show. The producers will get fresh actors who will soon be introduced in the show.

This isn't the first time that the producers considered sacking the six actors who regularly throw tantrums on the sets.

When they were introduced in Left Right Left, the six actors were well-behaved as it was their first break and it was a popular show. Gradually, as the show's TRP increased so did the actors' starry tantrums after which they came up with a new set of demands everyday.

A source says, "Most of them would report late to the sets and the shooting schedule went haywire as a result. Other than their indiscipline and unpunctuality, the actors would also get into fights with other unit members. Shooting had to be stalled on many occasions because of their misbehaviour."

"The producers first ignored the misconduct as the show was a huge success. But, after Rajeev Khandelwal walked out, the show's TRPs dwindled," adds the source.

That's when the producers, who were already worried about the show's poor performance, ran out of patience when the six actors continued with their daily tantrums.

Our source adds, "Right after Rajeev's exit from the show, the actors demanded a pay hike and the producers had no option but to oblige. Immediately after the raise, they asked for separate make-up rooms. This time also, the producers gave in to their demands. However, the tantrums became impossible to take after a while.

In October, Harshad Chopra aka Ali allegedly manhandled Kamal, one of the unit members on the when they were shooting at Madh Island. As a result, shooting had to be stalled and a police was complaint was filed. After this incident, the producers decided to sack the six errant actors and replace them with new actors."

The creative team has suggested a change in the storyline so that they can do away with the six characters. All the six actors have been put on a notice period. The show will have the six cadets graduating to the next level and fresh actors will be introduced.

When contacted, one of the six cadets, Priyanka Bassi who plays Naina in the show, confirmed the story. She says, "Yes, the producers have informed us that our characters will graduate to the lieutenant level and new ones will be introduced in the show."

When quizzed whether the reason for removing their characters from the show was their constant demands and tantrums, Priyanka preferred to be diplomatic. She says, "My character Naina has been in the show for more than a year and a half. As an actor, there was nothing more I could add to my character. I felt that it was time for me to move on. I don't know about the others but I am sure the producers do not have any problem with me."
