Chapter 2

Everyone clapped as the would be bride and groom, fitted the rings into the other's finger.Karthik and Naira's eyes locked, breaking the eye contact only when the applause died out.
Dinner was served, Karthik began looking for Naira, but saw her no where at any of the tables, so he excused himself, which was pretty hard because he was surrounded by his two brothers, elder sister and two saalis who kept on teasing him as he glanced around the room and did even more leg pulling when he asked to leave the table, knowing very well who his eyes were searching.
He saw her at the corner of one table, instructing chiiti uncle to make sure that there isn't a shortage of anything, she then walked along the table where the dishes lay and looked into each one of them and went to where everyone was sitting to eat going from table to table and asking everyone if they would like more.
Not paying attention she dashed into Karthik.
"I am sorry", she apologized without looking up, and only did when she felt the person dashed into pull her.
"Karthik", she whispered
"Kya kar rahi thi", asked the boy
"Bas yeh dekh rahi thi ke kiisi aur ko kuch chaiye toh nahi", she replied
"But you can do that after you eat something, Mishti informed me you skipped lunch, and Rajshri nani also said you didn't have anything to eat in between if you keep on skipping meals like this, you will fall sick and I can't see you like that so now like a good girl sit here and don't move", spoke Karthik as he seated her on any empty table at the corner of the room much further away from the occupied ones, he left returning shortly with a plate stacked with her favourite food items.
"Main khud khalungi", said Naira as Karthik lifted up a spoon of kheer near her favourite mouth, but her words made no difference and pushed spoon lightly on her closed lips getting some dessert on to them, finally getting he isn't going to leave her she obliged and ate the kheer. Pulling out a tissue from the box that lay on the table she gently wiped her lips and than continued to feed her.
She took the badam halwa in another spoon and put it infront of him, feeding it to him, "Kaise banna hai", she asked
"Tum ne banaya", he asked
"Tumhe kise pata chala", she questioned surprised
"Kyun ke yeh bilkul ma'am ke banye huye halwe jaisa taste karta hai, aur ma'am ke hathon ka swaad toh sirf unki beti ke hathon mein ho sakta hai", replied Karthik
"Tumhe pata hai Karthik yeh mumma ki recipe hai, main ne yeh issiliye banaya kyun ke yeh mumma ka favourite dessert tha, mujhe lagga ke kahi nahi kahi isse banna ne se mujhe mumma ki presence feel hogi", Naira spoke as tears filled her eyes.
"Miss kar rahi ho unhe, zarrorat nahi hai Naira, kyun ke miss unhe kiya jata hai jo hum se dur ho aur ma'am toh humesha tumhare dil mein rahegi, humare khyalon mein, humari bathon, hum unhe dur Jane he nahi denge", he told her as he traced his thumb under her eyes stealing her tears before they fell.

The engagement was over everything had gone well, dadi had announced that Karthik and Naira couldn't meet each other accept during the functions, till the wedding day arrived and that too at the time of the wedding not before that.

Naira sat on her bed and looked at the ring on her finger, the ring he had made her wear tonight, the ring she had seen during Yash and Rose wedding when Rose had been selecting the ring for Yash. She kissed the ring multiple times lovingly.
"Kash jitna pyaar iss ring par araha hai utna mujh par ata", she heard Karthik's voice and went to the window knowing from where it came and pulled him up.
"Dadi ne milne se manna kiya tha", Naira reminded him.
"Main dadi se bahut pyaar karta hun, unki baath aur unki feelings ki izzat kar sakta hun, Magar kissi bhi reason ki wajhe se main tum se dur nahi reh sakta", Karthik said as he locked his eyes with Naira.
"I love you Karthik", she said kissing his cheek
"Sirf itna pyaar, iss se zyada pyaar toh mere phenai ring ko kar rahi thi", Karthik pouted
"Haan toh uss se zyada pyaar karti hun iss liye usse zyada pyaar dikha rahi thi", Naira said surpressing her giggle
"Kya", asked Karthik pouting
"Haan dekho main Yash bhaiya ki engagement se phele is ring se pyaar karti thi, aur tum se bas 7-8 mahine phele mujhe pyaar ka ehssas hua, toh obviously ring ko zyada time se pyaar karti hun", Naira said and then looked at Karthik's face and burst out laughing, making Karthik look upset
"Main tum se sab se zyada pyaar karti hun, Karthik, khud se bhi zyada", she said making Karthik face her.
"Main kyun manno tumhari baath", he asked
"Agar nahi karti, toh apni family ko chod kar tumhare pass anne ko taiyar hoti", she asked him
"Lekin jitna pyaar main tum se karta hun usse kamm hi karti ho", replied Karthik
"Woh kaise", It was Naira's turn to pout now
"Pyaar ka ehssas mujhe phele hua tha, toh mere pyaar zyada hai obviously", claimed Karthik
"Yeh kaisa logic hai, aisa kuch nahi hota, main zyada pyaar karti hun tum se", Naira announced
"Acha kyun, mere toh reason hai kahne ka, tum kaise mujh se zyada pyaar karti ho", Karthik demanded an answer
"Tumhari pass arahi hun apni family chod kar", pointed Naira
"Toh thik hai, tum apni family ke saath raho main apni family ko chod kar tumhare pass aunga, mujhe koyi problem nahi hogi, nani ke hathon ke desi ghee ki kachoriyan, tumhare hathon ka ma'am ke recipe wala badam halwa, yum", stated Karthik, licking and smacking his lips as he thought of the delicious items.
"Tum aur tumhara khanna, bhukkad ho ek number ke", taunted Naira and bursted out laughing as Karthik turned the other way and pouted, but than glanced back at her and began to laugh as well.
Karthik's laughing ceased and he looked at her lovingly, she was wearing her night suit, her face devoid of make up, no ornament except her smile she adorned. Yet she was the most beautiful he had ever laid eyes upon. More beautiful from the inside than she was from the out. He left so damn lucky to have her, to be able to call her his.
"Kaha kho gaye", Naira asked snapping her fingers infront of his face.
"Tum mein", he replied honestly holding her close, loosening his grip around her she walked near the window facing it and began to stare at the moon, he came from behind and encircled his hands around her, making her smile grow further, he gently took her hand in his and entered his fingers through the empty spaces between hers, so both their rings were one beside another, just like they would always be.

Chapter 3

It was day after the engagement and day of the sangeet. The pandit had told dadi that this week especially the beginning four days is very auspicious. So they decided to have, basically dadi ordered to have all the rituals one after another engagement, then next sangeet, followed by mehndi, then haldi in the morning and shaadi in the night.

Karthik's room

It was early in the morning around half past five, luv and khush had shifted to Karthik's room, so that the relatives who had come over could have more for themselves, most relatives were given hotel rooms but really close ones like Karthik's massi, his bua, husband and children were living with them. The alarm rang disturbing the twins sleep, who moved restlessly as the alarm sounded, while their elder brother got up with a start and went off the bed.
"Subha hogayi finally", replied Karthik excited
"Yeh awaz bandh karo", replied luv sleepily rubbing his eyes, making Karthik realize he forgot to turn the alarm off in his excitement.

"Bahiya aap itni jaldi kyun uth gaye", asked khush who wasn't able to sleep again after he was disturbed by the alarm, to karthik who came out of the washroom after freshening up.
"Aaj sangeet hai", said Karthik super excited.
"Lekin woh shaam ko hai and now it is 5:30 am, sangeet ka mahurat 5:30 pm, aap 12 hours early hai", replied kush yawning
"Tumhe pata hai kitni tiyaari hai, ghar ko sajana hona hai, sab ko taiyar hona hai, sab ko apni performances ki practice karni hai, bahut kaam hai okay", said Karthik pouting seeing the other's were not half as excited as him, I mean it was their sangeet his and Naira's. He would see her dance, the dance that means life to her, he loved watching her dance, she seemed to happiest person while doing it. He loved her smile as she danced her heart out. He loved seeing the pleasure that is written all over her face while she dances. He didn't get what was not exciting about seeing his angel so happy.
"Tum so jao", spoke Karthik as he left the room.

Karthik drove to Singhania mansion, he knew Naira will be up early because she told him so last night when he was leaving that she wanted to wake early to have time for dance practice as well as make sure that the daily tasks of the house go smoothly.
"Are you awake", Karthik messaged
"Haan breakfast banna rahi hun", Naira messaged back
"Koyi dikh nahi raha", messaged Karthik
"Haan abhi tak so rahe hai, raat bhar aaj ke function ki batein kar rahe the sab, ek minute tum Kahan ho", Naira wrote back but got no reply so she continued with her work.
Naira moved to the cabinet were the almonds and rasins were lying so that she could add them to the kheer, it was on the top shelf so she needed to stretch herself to get to it and ended up tripping backwards and felt herself land in a pair of arms.
"Kya kar rahi thi, pair toot jata toh, mere pass aaj shaam ke liye koyi partner hi nahi hota", complained Karthik
"Tumhe sirf iss baath ki fikar hai ke tumhari dance partner ka pair na tutte, tumhari girlfriend ka pair tutte, tumhari fiance ka pair tutte, tumhari hone wali wife ka pair tutte us se koyi farak nahi padta, tumhe usse kuch nahi", asked Naira miffed
"Ghussa hogayi, meri jaan, sab kuch meri tum hi toh, meri veeru, meri girlfriend, meri dance partner, meri hone wali wife, mere hone wale bachon ki mumma, mere hone wale pote potiyon ki dadi, mere hone wale nathin nathi ki nani, mere hone wale par pote aur par potiyon ki par dadi, mere hone wale par nathi aur par natin ki par nani...", Karthik spoke but stopped between when Naira closed his mouth with her hand.
"Bas, kitna lamba chalega ya, zyada dur ki nahi sochne lag gaye, agar iss sab se phele mujhe kuch ho gaya toh", she said laughing, but Karthik turned.
"Toh kya Naira, mere jeene ki wajhe khatam ho jayegi, aur jab jeene ki koyi wajhe nahi, ji kar kya karna, jahe is duniya mein jahe usse duniya mein, rahunga mein tumhara ban kar", he said as he cupped her face in his palms and looked deeply into her eyes.
"I love you", she said emotionally wrapping her hands around him.
"I love you more", he said hugging back
"Hmm", she responded in the hug.
"Kyun aaj tum nahi kahogi ke you love me more", asked Karthik breaking the hug, looking at her and tucking a strand of hair behind her ears.
"Iss mein kehna kya, main zyada pyaar karti hun tum se", she said trying to get back into her normal mood.
"Kya kar rahi thi", asked Karthik as he looked at the kitchen table.
"Sab kuch ho gaya ab sirf puriban baki hai, abhi tak ata bhi nahi goonda iska", said Naira as she put flour, water and ghee into a flat bowl.
"Karthik please cuts the rasins and almonds and put them in the kheer", asked Naira as she began kneading the dough.
Getting the rasins and almonds chopped and added to the kheer was a two minute work and as soon as it was over he went to his girl and snaked his arms around her placed his hands over her's and helped her in kneading the dough.
"Kya kar rahe ho karthik", asked Naira
"Tumhari help, baki sara kaam hogaya bas yehi rahegaya socha issi mein tumhari maddad kar dun", replied Karthik kissing her cheek
"Karthik chodo koyi dekh le ga", replied Naira looking around
"Dekhne do, main ne kaun sa chupane wala kaam kiya hai, apni hone wali biwi ko ek kiss diya, kissi ko kya problem ho sakti hai, honth mere, gaal uske, mujhe problem nahi, usse problem nahi, kissi tessre insan ko problem kyun honi chaiye", asked Karthik
"Yeh kiss ne kaha ke tumhari aisi harkaton se mujhe koyi problem nahi", she said harshly removing his hands of her and moving near the kheer, which was on the stove cooking on low heat, she closed the gas and poured the kheer into a bowl not once looking at Karthik.
"Mazak kar rahi ho", he said walking up close to her trying to hold her hand.
"Mein mazak kyun kar rahi hogi", she said pushing him away and then burst out laughing seeing his expressions.
"Tum mazak kar rahi thi, pata hai main kitna pareshan ho gaya", he asked looking irritated.
"Kyun pareshan ho gaye, tumhe pata nahi kya, ke mujhe kabhi koyi problem nahi huyi jab tum mere qareeb ate ho. I love it when you are with me", she told him kissing his cheeks
"Aur agar mun phulana ho gaya mujhe aata gundna hai", she said going back to do her work
"Sirf tumhe nahi mujhe bhi", replied Karthik as he helped Naira work on the door, while romancing her at the same time.

"Waise tak abhi tak koyi utha kyun nahi", asked Karthik
"Kal raath sab bahut thak gaye, iss liye maine sab ke alarms ko bandh kar diye aur apne alarm ka volume bhi kam rakha ta ke sirf mein sunnu usse", Naira replied.
"Lekin ab 6:30 ho gaye, Nani uthti ho gi, woh bina alarm ke uth jati hai, zarra meri help karo dishes ko dining table par le janne mein" told Naira.

"Yahan sarra kaam ho gaya lagta hai Nani bhi uth gayi toh ab chalo", Karthik said as he saw the room which he knew Rajshri was staying and noticed the lights were on.
"Kahan", questioned Naira
"Bas chalo", replied Karthik and pulled her along.

"Kaha ja rahe batao ne", Naira questioned for the umpneeth time during their bike ride.
"Wait karo thodi der mein pauhnch jayenge", Karthik gave the same response he had given all this while.
"Kya kar rahi ho Naira, stop it", Karthik told her as Naira kissed his ears tickling him.
"Naira main ne kaha ne stop, it is tickling, I can't drive", told Karthik
"Phele baato kaha ja rahe hai", Naira said near his ears.
"Aage dekho", replied Karthik, Naira looked infront she realized the area and gave Karthik a look, he nodded positively.

Soon they stopped in front of a gate, and just as she thought it was the dance academy site, she hadn't come here since a long time, last was around 5 months ago. She would only get updates through the phone, from the head engineers and architects.

They went inside, the construction had started eight months back (I am assuming between Akshara's bday and leap 2 months went by and leap was 6 months). Till now only the foundation of the building was laid, the first floor was partially constructed, which was only a stone ground and some pillars, surrounded by brick walls from four sides, except the fourth wall had a door cut out to enter. This floor was the where the dance classes would go on. There was one more floor to be constructed, where the office area and the store room containing costumes and props for dancing, and also room for more dance classes, once that need special attention. For example if the students are preparing for an event. That had been the way Akshara and Naira had planned things, while talking about the dance academy.

Karthik and Naira entered the building.
"Ma'am ki yaad arahi hai", asked Karthik as he noticed Naira's eyes fill up.
"Yeh academy sirf mera sapna nahi hai, papa aur mumma ka bhi hai, lekin ab jab woh purra ho raha hai usse dekhne ke liye, mumma hi nahi", Naira said breaking down into tears, Karthik came and hugged her making her rest her head on his shoulder.
"Woh humein kyun chod kar chali gayi Karthik. 8 saal phele, main ne unhe galat samjha aur unse dur chali gayi, 7 saal unse dur rahi, kuch waqt phele ja kar ehssas hua ke main kitni badi stupid thi, lekin iss baar phir se humare beech duriyan agayi, iss baar woh chod ke chali gayi, aur aise chali gayi ke, kabhi wapas nahi ayegi", she said crying and then pressing her face into his chest, wetting his shirt, Karthik rubbed his hand around her back trying to calm a sobbing Naira.
"Naira, I know bahut dard hota hai, jab maa jaati hai aur woh bhi kabhi wapas na laut ka anne ke liye. Kitni taqleef hoti hai janta hun, uss dard ka ehssas hai, woh dard kabhi koyi bhul nahi sakta, lekin humein koshish toh karni hogi. Main yeh nahi khe raha ke tum ma'am ko bhul jao, bas unke dur janne se tumhe jo taqleef huyi uss taqleef ko bhul janne ki koshish karo", Karthik explained Naira as she sobbed in his arms.

Karthik caressed Naira's hair, finally a while ago, she stopped crying and her body relaxed, by now Karthik was sitting on the floor, his back against the brick wall and Naira's head on his lap.
"Naira", he called out and slowly pulled her up to face him.
"You okay", he asked wiping her face to erase those tear marks and placing a kiss on her cheeks.
"Hmm", she managed to respond.
"Chalo chalte hai, ghar mein practice kar lenga, main bhi kitna stupid hun, pata tha tum iss jaghe ko dekh kar emotional ho jaogi, phir bhi yahan le aiya", he said trying to help her up but she refused his hand.
"Hum yehi practice kar le, ek na ek din toh mujhe iss dard se nikalna hoga, toh aaj kyun nahi", she said smiling, though her eyes were red and tired.

Soon she began her practice. Karthik stared at her lovingly and she smiled while she looked at his lost in love expressions, surpressing giggles occasionally as she saw him looking nowhere else but her.
"Sangeet hum dono ki hai main akele dance karungi, tumhe practice nahi karni", Naira said reminding him.
"Baad mein, phele mein tumhare chera par woh muskrahat je bahar kar dekh lun jo tab aati hai jab tum dance karti ho", he said while looking at her dreamily.
"Bahut dekh liya, ab chup chap practice karo, warna tumhe kuch ayega nahi aur meri mehnat waste ho jayegi", Naira said going next to Karthik who was standing in one corner and pulled him towards the centre where she was dancing.

Karthik dropped Naira to Singhania House.
"Kaha chali gayi thi Naira", asked Karishma as she saw her walk in.
"Woh dance academy mein thi", Naira replied
"Wahan kuch kaam tha princess, mujh se kehti mein saath chalta", asked Naitik
"Nahi, woh mein bas aaj ke function ke liye practice karne gayi, yahan sab so rahe the toh socha, music ki awaz se kissi ko disturb na karu", replied Naira.
"Waise Naira, akele academy gayi thi ya kissi ke saath", asked Naksh
"Kiss ke saath ja sakti hun, akele hi gayi thi", Naira replied while looking everywhere except her brother.
"Kaise gayi, sari gadiyan toh ghar par thi", questioned gayu teasingly.
"Jab kissi ki bike ho, toh car ki kya zarrorat", answered Naksh in the same teasing tone.
"Haan, main ne tv serials mein dekha hero heroine bike ride mein romance karte hai", Mishti added and Naira felt her cheeks go red with all her siblings teasing.
"Bahut TV serial dekhne lagi ho Mishti", Naira scolded her little cousins sister and immediately ran upstairs leaving, her family members laughing behind her.

Chapter 4

Naira's room

Naira was getting ready for the sangeet function. She wore a pretty dark purple and gold lehenga. She looked at herself in the mirror at saw Karthik standing behind her.
"Katal karne ka irada hai", he said wrapping his hands around her from the back, Naira blushed and looked down for a second and then back in the mirror and saw Karthik no where, she looked around the room and realized she was dreaming. She shook her head and smiled.
She clicked her snap and sent to Karthik, remembering what he had told her that he wanted to be the first one to see her whenever she got ready for any one wedding functions.

"Kya hua Naira kiss ko dekh kar muskura rahi hai", asked Gayu entering into the room.
"Kuch nahi Di", said Naira
"Gayu yeh koyi phuchne wali baath hai jija ji ko yaad kar ke lal ho rahi hai meri behn", said Naksh teasing Naira.
"Waise Karthik yahan aye the kya", asked gayu looking around the room.
"Nahi", replied Naira looking upset.

Gayu and Naksh left the room, leaving Naira to sulk over the fact that Karthik had made no early entry. Her phone than beeped
"Main toh already tumhare pyaar mein pagal hun, ab aur kisko pagal karwana hai", message Karthik
Then he send another pic in which he was wearing a dark purple sherwani that had gold embroidery around its neck and sleeve ends. He was making a sad face and captioned it as "incomplete without you". The he sent another pic was of his in which he was smiling this one was joint with the one Naira had sent and captioned as, "complete with you", She looked at the messages and pictures and smiles hugging her phone.

At Sangeet Function

Karthik is looking all around for a glimpse of Naira, but she is no where to be seen.
"Kisse dhond rahe ho beta, apni mangetar ko", asked Rajshri
"nahi woh mein", said Karthik fumbling when the lights went off
"Lo aggai", said Rajshri and some dim lights came on.

Tu aata hai seene mein
Jab jab saansein bharti hoon
Tere dil ki galiyon se
Main har roz guzarti hoon

(Karthik feel someone hug him from the back and then twirl around him finally letting him see her, he smiled looking at the divine beauty in his arms.)

Hawaa ke jaise chalta hai tu
Main ret jaisi udti hoon
Kaun tujhe yun pyar karega
Jaise main karti hoon

(Karthik walked smiling and stealing glances at Naira, while she danced around him)

Ho ho...

Meri nazar ka safar
Tujhpe hi aake ruke
Kehne ko baaqi hai kya
Kehna tha jo keh chuke
Meri nigaahein hain
Teri nigahon ki tujhe khabar kya be-khabar

(Naira comes face to face with Karthik again, she looks every where than intensely into his eyes for some second and than danced closed to him)

Main tujhse hi chhup chhup kar
Teri aankhen padhti hoon
Kaun tujhe yun pyaar karega
Jaise main karti hoon

(Naira stealing glances at Karthik as she dances)

Ho ho...

Tu jo mujhe aa mila
Sapne hue sirphire
Hathon mein aate nahi
Udte hain lamhe mere

(Naira walks a bit away from karthik than jumps into his arms taking a leap of faith.)

Meri hansi tujhse
Meri khushi tujhse
Tujhe khabar kya be-qadar

(Naira happily danced)

Jis din tujhko na dekhun
Pagal pagal phirti hoon
Kaun tujhe yun pyaar karega
Jaise main karti hoon

(Naira moves away from karthik looking for him where he is not there and a sad expression on her face. Karthik comes from the back of her and she smiles and dances.)

Ho ho...

"I love you Karthik", she said as she ended the performance.
"I love you too", Karthik replied taking her into his arms as everyone cheered for them happily.

The evening continued with more performances from other family members and many more dances from the bride and groom, while dadi spoke of how her kittu was as a child, papa spoke of his princess. Mishti talked about Kaira's love story.

Next Morning

The mehndi function was about to start at Singhania House in an hour. Naira was upset because dadi had made it clear yesterday that Kaira would only meet during the wedding next, the mehndi would be only a ladies function while the haldi would be first done at Goenkas for Karthik. Than Goenkas would bring haldi for Naira and Naira's haldi rasam at Singhania house. Knowing that Karthik wouldn't be there she didn't have a very good mood and Karthik hadn't sent a message since morning.

"Naira Di aap abhi tak ready nahi huyi", said Mishti
"Ready toh hoon", Naira replied disinterested.
"Kahan ready hai tu, na eye shadow lagaya hai, na lipstick, earrings nahi phene hai, na hi necklace, lehenga bhi thik se adjusted nahi hai.", said gayu
Naira picked up a lipstick and eye shadow and applied them, she picked a jewellery set and wore it.
"Ab mein tiyaar ho gayi ab aap log jaye aur tiyaar ho jaye", she said her voice cracking a bit.
"Aise tiyar huyi hai, orange lipstick lagayi tu ne, tujhe bilkul pasand nahi hai, tera lehenga brown or green colour ka hai, pink and blue stone earrings pehni hai, dhyan kaha hai tera", asked gayu
"Kuch nahi Di, bas thoda sa sarr dard hai aur kuch nahi, function start hone ke phele mujhe kuch waqt akele rehna hai", said Naira and gayu Mishti left.
"Pata hai usse ke aaj ke function mein hum nahi mil sakte, function se phele milne nahi asakta tha, the girls planned the bachelorette party for me and the boys planned a bachelor party for Karthik in the evening, so then again we wouldn't be able to meet. Milne nahi aiya okay, kam se kam ek message, lekin nahi", she said as a tear slowly made its way out of her eyes.

She heard a knock on the door, she wiped her tear and went to open the door. She saw someone with a sarre having full ghongat.
"Aap kaun", asked Naira confused
The person pushed her into the room, lifted up the ghongat, pulled the sarre.
"Aapke hone wale pati", Karthik spoke smirking.
"Dur hatto ab yaad ayi meri", asked Naira miffed.
"Arre ab agaya ne pata hai ghar ke bahar nikalana kitna mushkil tha. Waise mujhe nahi pata tha tum mujh se itna pyaar karti ho ke, ek din ke liye mujh se na milne ke khyal se tumhare ankh mein ansu ajayenga.", replied Karthik
"Haan ajayenge tum se door rahne ke khyal se bhi mein tadapti hun Karthik. Tumhari awaz nahi sunti toh bahut buri feeling aati hai, message nahi padho tumhara toh kuch acha nahi lagta lekin tumhe kya na Message kiya na call", spoke Naira
"Kaise karta tumhare naam ki mehndi lagga raha tha", replied karthik
"Tumhare ghar par ladkon ko bhi mehndi laggayi jati hai", asked Naira and took his hands to look at it.
"Karthik yeh", she said looking at both his palms it wasn't mehndi on his hand were tattooed with her name, both of them with her name. On one was written "I love you Naira", the other said "I live for my Naira".
"Kyun kiya yeh", asked Naira
"Mehndi lagata toh tumhara naam mit jata, iss liye ghar par tattoo artist to bulwa kar kar liya, tattoo permanent hai ne", replied karthik
"But kyun", asked Naira.
"Because I wanted to tell everybody that am your, ladkiyan toh sindoor aur mangalsutra phen leti hai, but how I am going to tell anyone that am yours, mere pass bhi kuch hona chaiye, yeh dekhane ke liye I belong to you", replied karthik while Naira stared at him with love.

Chapter 5

The mehndi function had gotten over it was early evening. The elders had given permission for both bachelors parties but reminded the youngsters that tomorrow night was the wedding and the haldi ceremony in the morning, so the bride and groom should be fresh and asked everyone not to tier themselves tonight, as tomorrow was a bigger day. The girls bachelortette party was to be held at Maheshwari House, since no one was there these days as everyone was staying at Singhania House for the wedding and Yash offered his house for boy's bachelor party. Everyone seemed to be having fun at both parties, well everyone except the to be bride and groom. Who were so used to be together at every gathering, that having fun without each other was just impossible. They didn't even chat because they thought that the other must be enjoying themselves and didn't want to disturb the other.
"Ek baar message kar ke puch leti hun kya kar raha hai", Naira thought just then she heard her phone beep
"I am missing you", she smiled reading Karthik's sent message
"Yeh party bahut boring hai, ab tumhare tar tar ki adat ho gayi hai", Naira messaged back
"Kya kare", Naira questioned
"Ek idea hai", Karthik replied

Naira stretched her arms faking a yawn.
"Kya hua Naira", asked Ananya
"kuch nahi Di thak gayi hun", replied Naira
"Itni jaldi thak gayi Naira, ab sirf 11:30 hi hai", asked gayu
"Haan Di toh aap log party continue kare, mein kamre mein ja kar so jaungi mein bahut thak gayi hun, agar ab yahan rahi toh apni shaadi mein soti ranhungi, aap sab enjoy kijiye", replied Naira.
"Aise kaise Naira, agar tum nahi hogi toh iss party ka kya matlab yeh toh tumhare liye hai", said Keerthi
"Nahi Di please mujhe acha nahi lagega, ab sab enjoy kijiye", Naira managed to convince everyone to carry on without her. And in Yash's house Karthik had made a the same excuse and retrieved to a separate room.

"Ab kya", Naira messaged
"Lets meet", Karthik messaged
"Not possible agar koyi kamre mein agaya and they find us missing phir", questioned Naira
"Toh party chodne ke liye hum dono ne itna natak kyun kiya phir", Karthik asked
"Hum thak chuke hai, yeh sarri nautanki karne ka idea tumhara tha", reminded Naira
"Mujhe kaha pata tha tum milne se manna karogi", Karthik argued back
"Jhaggda hi karna tha toh yeh kyun bola tum mujhe miss kar rahe ho, jhutte", Naira messaged adding an angry emoji
"Tum ne kaha tum meri tar tar miss kar rahi ho, aur ab meri tar tar par ghussa ho rahi ho, sab se badi jhutti tum ho. Main tumhe itna miss kar raha hun aur tum sirf dant ti ho, mujhe bath nahi karni", Karthik message back
"milte hai thode waqt baad", Naira messaged in an attempt to make her fiances mood alright, but didn't received any response back even after almost half an hour passed by
"Lagta hai bahut ghussa hai, ab kya, usse milne jati hun", Naira thought and decided to take a look at the hall and saw that everyone was sitting on the sofa chatting, Mishti, kuhu, rose and mansi were already asleep, keerthi was yawning, ananya and gayu seemed drowsy as well.
"Mujhe nahi lagta ab koyi room mein ayega check karne, sab kafi tired lag rahi hai, lekin ab bhi yeh sab jagge huye hai, main door se nahi janne sakti, khidki se hi janna padega", Naira thought to herself and walked towards the balcony only to find Karthik already standing there.
"Mujhe lagga tum ghusa the, agar mood thik tha toh message kyun nahi kiya", Naira asked slapping his shoulder
"Socha thode waqt ke liye bhau khau", Karthik replied with a surpressed giggle
"Phir yahan kyun aye, jao bhau khau, mujh se bath mat karo", pouted Naira
"Acha baba sorry, dubara aisa nahi karunga", said Karthik holding his ears but Naira turned the other way ignoring him.
"Maan jao jaan am sorry", he said back hugging her
"Nahi", she said removing his hands from around her waist.
"Nahi manna hai", asked Karthik and Naira nodded positively
"Bilkul baath nahi karni mujh se", asked Karthik and Naira nodded positively
"Okay", replied karthik and swiped Naira in his arms and indicated Naira to be quite and took her out of MH and on the bike.

"Kya kar rahe ho" asked Naira
"Tumhe baath nahi karni thi,toh ab chup aur chalo", said Karthik making her sit on the bike and tied a blind fold on her eyes.

After a while the bike stopped
"Ab main blind fold kholun", said Naira reaching for the knot
"Nahi ab bhi nahi", said Karthik and scopped her in his arms once again.
"Ab khol lo", said Karthik putting Naira down and then helped her remove the blindfold
Naira looked around her they were at their flat, which was know well furnished and decorated just as she had asked and there was a cake, Naira's favourite cake lying on the table.
"Jaisa tum ne kaha bilkul waisa hai, furniture se le kar wall ka colours sab, kaisa lagga", he asked her taking her into his arms, but she stayed silent
"Ab bhi ghussa ho", he asked
"Haan, ghussa nahi hun aur kya karun, table par mera favourite cake rakha hai aur tumne mujhe apni bahon mein pakkad kar rakha hai", she said pouting
"Jao", he said loosening his grip around her
"Bhukkad", commented karthik as Naira stuffed her mouth with her cake
"Mein bhukkad nahi hun", Naira retorted back
"Oh haan mein bhul gaya, tum toh chatori ho ek number ki", said Karthik
"Dekho baath kaun kar raha hai, woh jo jiss ka bus chale pura din kachoriyan khata rahe", Naira answered back and threw a big chunk of the cake at Karthik staining his white shirt.
"Yeh kya kiya meri shirt kharab kar di", pouted Karthik
"Tum kyun ched rahe the mujhe, galti tumhari hai", Naira answered back
"Okay, mere hathon se cake nahi kahogi", said Karthik placing a piece of cake near her mouth, and than pressed the cake on her cheeks and ran
"Karthik", Naira said sounding mad and ran behind him

Finally both stopped near the balcony, as they noticed it raining, through the transparent door, Naira opened the door and extended her hand outside, feeling the rain drops, Karthik smiled looking at her, she had been wearing a plain blue saree with a really thin glitter border, there were few drops of rain on her face, he was completely lost in her and suddenly he felt his face get wet and noticed her giggling and before he realized she again threw some water on him and then he joined her to.

"Naira kya kar rahi ho, rukko", said Karthik as he saw Naira running out of the flat and followed her
Finally Naira came to a stop outside at the compound ground. It was raining heavily and both were drenched completely within seconds. Karthik smiled watching Naira dance in the rain completely carefree.
"Kya kar rahe ho wahan yaha ao ", Naira called out too karthik as she spinned in the rain.
"Sambhal ke", Karthik said making her stand straight as she was about to loose her balance with all that spinning.
"Aisa kya ghoor rahe ho", Naira asked as she saw Karthik staring at her
"Apni hone wali patni ko ghoor raha hun, tumhe kya", he asked pulling her close, pushing her wet hair behind her ears and kissing her cheek and slowly traced his lips down her neck.
"Karthik", Naira whispered pushing him away and turned the other side, blushing
"I love you Naira", he whispered in her ears as he wrapped his arms around her from the back
"I love you too karthik", she said turning to face him, resting her head on his chest and wrapped her hands around him.
Then Naira began sneezing
"Naira chalo, aur behogo gi toh bimar pad jao gi", he said and picked her in his arms and carried her upstairs not giving her a chance to protest.

He placed her on the bed, making her sit, than handed her a towel.
"Naira, I gave you that to dry yourself up, not for you to sit catching it", spoke Karthik, picking the towel from her hands and helping her dry her hair and then an alarm rang
"Tum ne koyi alarm lagiya hai", asked Naira
"18 hours", said Karthik looking at his phone while switching off the alarm
"18 hours", Naira asked
"Humari shaadi ko", replied Karthik
"Tumne har ghante ke liye ek alarm lagga rakha hai kya", she asked and Karthik nodded positively
"Kyun aaj puri raat jagna hai kya", asked Naira
"Haan, mein koyi moment miss nahi karna chata, har pal tumhare saath rehna chata hun, kyun ke iss ke baad mein sirf apni biwi ke saath romance kar paunga, apni fiancee ke saath nahi", Karthik replied

The night passed with both chatting and occasional nokh jhok between. Karthik reached Naira at MH by five and himself went to yash's house.

Next morning

Karthik's room, Goenka Villa

Karthik was getting ready for the haldi function, when he felt paper balls being thrown at him and went to his window to see Naira standing below motioning him to come down, knowing that no one would let him out he climbed through the window.

"Tum yahan", asked karthik
"Tumhe haldi laggane", replied Naira and smerged haldi over Karthik's face
"Naira, yeh kya kiya", asked karthik
"Mujh se phele tumhe koyi haldi nahi lagga sakta, tum par sab se phela haq mera hai, sirf mera", said Naira
"Aur mera tum par", said Karthik taking some of the haldi of his face and putting on hers.

Few moments before the wedding rituals could start. The barrat had arrived, Naira had still not come down. Karthik purposefully dashed into a waiter spilling some juice on his sherwani.
"Kittu beta tumhari sherwani ko toh ab daag lag chuka hai", commented dadi
"Kuch nahi hai dadi, Waise bhi kuch nazar nahi araha hai", replied Karthik
"Aise kaise kuch nahi, upar jao aur saaf karo, Naksh jao Karthik ko le jao. Gayu, rose tum bhi Naira ko niche le ao", spoke bhabhi ma

"Karthik tum mere room ka washroom use kar lo to clean the stain", told Naksh
"Bhaiyu agar aap ka room use kiya, toh bff Naira Di se kaise mil payenge, unko milne ke liye jan bujh kar unho ne apni sherwani par daag lag aiya.", asked Mishti
"Nahi, woh juice toh bas galti se gir gaya", said Karthik
"Galti se matlab apko Naira se nahi milna", asked gayu
"Hum upar ahi gaye hai toh", spoke karthik
"Toh mil hi lo", continued Naksh and Karthik rushed to Naira's room
"You are the best, love you guys", said Karthik turning back and the other's smiled
"Jaldi aiye bff sab apka aur Naira Di ka wait kar rahe hai", called out Mishti

"Haan Di mein ready", Naira spoke while opening the door but stopped seeing Karthik
"Ready ho", he asked and she nodded positively
"Tum yahan", she asked
"Tum saach mein ready ho", Karthik asked again
"Haan dikhayi nahi de raha hai", asked Naira
"Main uss ki baath nahi kar raha, tum shaadi ke liye toh ready ho, I mean main ready hun, lekin bahut nervousness ho rahi hai, I don't know why.", karthik replied
"Uss din tum hi samjha rahe the, ke jab bhi hum kuch naiya karte hai toh darr lagta hai, toh aaj kya hua. Itna tensed kyun ho", asked Naira
"Pata Nahi, Naira mujh se promise karo, humara rishte hai waise rahega, humare beech kuch nahi badlega humare rishte hai mein ho transparency thi woh humesha rahegi, hum phele humesha best friends rahenge, uske baad lovers ya pati patni", karthik told Naira
"I promise Karthik", replied Naira.
"Waise meri hone wali bride bahut khubsurat lag rahi hai", said Karthik looking at her and Naira smiled blushing a bit
"Bilkul sherni lag rahi ho", said Karthik
"Acha sherni dikh rahi hun, toh thik hai sherni ki tarhe tumhe kacha chaba jaungi", said Naira irritated
"Chid kyun rahi ho, Jo sach hai wohi kaha", asked karthik
"buri lag rahi hun, papa ne kaha mein princess ki tarhe dikh rahi hoon, woh jhoot tha kya", asked Naira
"Jhoot kyun bilkul sach kaha tumhare papa ne, main ne bhi toh wohi bola", replied karthik
"Tum ne kaha mein sherni ki tarhe lag rahi hoon", replied Naira
"Jungle ka king kaun", asked karthik
"Sher", replied Naira
"King ki beti, princess, right", Karthik asked and Naira nodded positively
"Sher ki beti, ladki hogi, toh ladki sher", asked Karthik
"Sherni", replied Naira
"Toh sherni aur princess ek hi huye", replied Karthik making Naira smile.
"Meri sherni, meri princess, meri queen, meri veeru, meri jaan, meri zindagi, kya tum meri wife banogi, ek last baar puch raha hun agar koyi second thoughts hai, ab apna descion change kar sakti ho, agar ab Haan kaha toh mein tumhe apna descion badal ne nahi dunga", spoke Karthik getting down on one knee
"Haan, tum taiyar ho ek sherni ke saath puri life guzarne", she spoke getting down on her knees to meet his height
"Apni purri zindagi ka har ek lamha issi sherni ke saath guzarna chata hun, jahe yeh sherni mujhe kaha hi jaye", replied Karthik

"Chalo tum dono, sab puch rahe hai tum dono ka", Naksh called out knocking the door.
Kaira came out hearing him.
Karthik went with Naksh first and then Naira came down, with gayu, mishti, rose and kuhu
Soon the marriage rituals were over and kaira were finally married
