INTERVIEW-Kareena Kapoor-Prizee Rise

THE WORD IS OUT. SHE HAS REGAINED CONTROL OF HER PRIVATE AND PROFESSIONAL LIVES. Jab We Met, Saif Ali Khan and daily yoga have done wonders to her confidence and glow. After winning the H T Caf award for the Best Actress of the Year, Kareena Kapoor jetted off to Hong Kong and then Greece.. but not before some dialogue baazi with our heroine addict Vajir Singh Now talk is that you've become a yoga instructor to the film industry. Ha, not really! But it's a fact that everyone is sur- prised that I know so much about yoga. See, it's just that I never miss my daily yoga session. And if we're shooting together, like we were at Goa, Amu (Amrita Arora) joins me too.

Getting up at 5 a m every day to do yoga couldn't be much fun. Hey, I love my sleep. So, it all depends when I'm free. I do my yoga in the afternoon or evening. Of late, I've been extra-disciplined because I'll be shooting for a song in Greece for Tashan. I've to be in my best shape ever. I want to look like no Indian actress has looked before. It's a super hot film.. totally different.. like a Hollywood movie. I've performed action scenes which I've never done before. I guess yoga really helped me performing the stunts.. stretching and all. Whom are you fighting against Tashan? Akshay Kumar or Saif Ali Khan? I can't talk much about Tashan. Maybe they're fighting over you in the movie? You can't trick me into talking about Tashan. Remember, Anil (Kapoor) is also in the movie. He's looking the best.. very hot. What about Saif and Akshay? Aren't they looking hot? What's there to say? They're hot yaar. Akshay and Saif are hot guys. So you mean Anil Kapoor is looking hot after a long time? I think he's one of our best actors. Anil loves me, he has always been supportive. Anil's entire family has been sweet, I go over to their house. I'm very fond of his wife.. we get along very well. Okay, which other film are you excited about? Sajid Nadiadwala's Kambakht Ishq with Akshay Kumar. It's a role to die for.. it will be styled on the lines of Sex and the City.. very upmarket, very high society.. which people have not seen yet. I'll be changing my look.. maybe I'll chop my hair, make it short. We're still planning and working on different ideas. And then there's the Shree Ashtavinayak film with John Abraham. For director Rumy Jaffrey? Are you doing the film? Well, I haven't said yes. I'm still thinking about it. Are you taking your time to decide because of John Abraham? No no. I've heard the first draft of the script, now I'm waiting for the final draft. I don't want to do any film without a bound script. I'm okay with the one-line story they gave me, they've promised to come back this month with the final script. I'll take the decision then. But I would love to work with John.. I think we'll make a good pair on screen. I've worked with Akshay, Ajay (Devgan) and Shahid. I'm working with Saif now.. a movie with John will cover the entire spectrum of heroes. Does that mean you don't have any more problems with the nasty remarks John Abraham made against you on Koffee With Karan? I think Koffee with Karan is a fun show. I don't hold any grudges against John. Is it true that you've hiked your price majorly after the success of Jab We Met? Why's everyone asking me this? Producers will offer what they feel I deserve. That's fair and reason- able. I don't believe that actresses can't be powerful. Today, even actresses are getting roles which are as strong as the actors'. Jab We Met was quite hero- ine-centric movie.. so were Chameli.. and Omkara.. except that it was called Omkara. After the HT Caf award for Jab We Met, do you expect to win all the Best Actress Awards this year? (Laughs) I don't know. Will you walk out of an award function if your name is not announced as the winner? I won't walk out but I'm expecting it for Jab We Met. Objectively speaking, I think the performance deserves an award. Also there's no competition. You never know yaar. Who? I don't know. See, I've made a folder of those who praised my work in Jab We Met. If I don't get an award than I'll just read those SMSes. There's no actor in the world.. who doesn't want to win an award. Everyone feels low on not getting one. Whom would you pick to receive your award if you aren't in town? My sister (Karisma), of course. I'm sure she will say no but I'll force her to. At least people will get to see her, she's looking so stunning these days. Is she also into yoga? She's genetically thin and beauti- ful yaar. And also perfectly dressed everywhere. Is she planning to make a comeback? Contrary to rumours, she's not even thinking about a comeback. How come she has bought a house in Bandra? Yes, she has a house in Bandra because she keeps coming here from Delhi. Your father Randhir Kapoor is planning to turn director. Right? He'll only produce films.. the right of selecting the script has been left with me. I'm listening to various stories by young and new writers. He's planning to produce one film with me and another with Ranbir. We're looking at someone who has a great script. Since it's an RK Film, I'm looking for more drama. Than why not remake an RK film? Given a chance, I would love to do Prem Rog or Ram Teri Ganga Maili. I don't know how they would turn out if we re-mould them today. But R K Films has always been ahead of the times. Why weren't you a part of the multi-starrer song in Om Shanti Om? I couldn't.. and that's why Lolo did it. I was busy shooting Jab We Met with Shahid in Manali and Shim- la. Farah Khan did call me but I said, "Next time for sure." I loved Om Shanti Om.. I've seen it three times over.. it's my kind of cinema.. total entertainment. Is that why you're doing Golmaal Returns? I'm doing comedy after a long time. I'm playing a suspicious wife who doubts her husband. She's a Balaji serial buff.. the entire day, she watches their soaps and even acts like one of the bahus. (Laughs) And my character's name is Ekta. I'm really enjoying working with Tusshar Kapoor.. the last time we worked together was in Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai. Have you forgotten Jeena Sirf Mere Liye?
