Well, Karan is definitely not the murderer. Coz in SBS they said that the main suspense is yet to be disclosed. I dunno why Karan took the blame all on himself....may be he is trying to save a family member.
My instinct says, Mihir has something to do with it.

No it cant be Nandini, come on...she wont keep quiet and let Karan be hanged.
