Neither Atharv nor Vividha are to blame for what unfolded today. It has always been the manipulations of others and society as a whole that have led to difficulties between them, and today was no different. Today Atharv walked in on Vividha dancing with Ravish, who was announced to be her husband as a final nail in the coffin - if Atharv could justify everything else that appeared strange to himself, he couldn't dispute the fact. Captain Ravish and his wife, followed by applause.
The hurt, the humiliation, the lies. As he saw the wedding photo in front of his eyes, the evidence he had previously blind to, all he could think of was their vachans. They promised one another that no matter how bitter the truth, they would always share it with one another. Meaning that despite others influencing the opposite the only thing that mattered was that they were honest with each other always, and Vividha had never lied to him until this point. He had given her the opportunity to tell him everything and, due to misplaced loyalty and guilt, Vividha didn't. She wanted to, and she would have found the right time to calmly explain it all, but that opportunity was never granted.
Atharv's explosion at Vividha was a combination of his hurt at her betrayal and self-pity. He is in no mood to hear others' perspectives right now, all he cares about is the impact her actions have on him and them. He hasn't had the time to process and think rationally about anything Vividha has endured in his absence. It did lead me to wonder if he has underestimated her love for him all this time. We as the audience, and Vividha herself, saw his insecurity before the Ra-Vidha marriage. He was always scared something would happen that would separate them, but in his mind perhaps that was partially because he wasn't sure that she loved him as much as he loves her.
Vividha has only fallen deeper in love with him throughout this marriage, she fell in love with kid Atharv too, but Atharv hasn't actually seen the effect his lessons have had on her. He sees that she has married someone else, fully accepting this man as her husband, which was his biggest fear. He sees Kailash's daughter Vividha and some of his pain is at that too, he's doubting whether she took care of him out of love or whether it was just guilt. Still, in his anger Atharv listened to some of what Vividha had to say - he knows she didn't want this marriage, he knows they were doing ulte phere when he walked in. Yet at her reluctance to leave that family immediately Atharv accused her of being a gold-digger. This isn't Atharv, this is his anger, his attempts at trying to understand what's going through her mind, and perhaps an attempt to make her feel the pain he is going through. He should've let her explain, she deserved that opportunity, she couldn't believe the accusations he was throwing. First suggesting she's slept with Ravish, then suggesting she liked the grandeur associated with being a bahu in that family. Needless to say he was bang out of order, he needs to listen to the whole story and then we'll see how apologetic he really is for what he said.
Then came the Ramakant revelation and the much-needed confrontation with Sujata. Unlike Vividha, Sujata deserved every word Atharv threw at her. Of all people Sujata went to that family for help, and it is pathetic that she went begging to a family that did nothing but humiliate her, that left her and her unborn child to starve. Sujata, Suman and Ravish together guilt-tripped Vividha into staying in that house for way longer than she intended, encouraged her to lie to the man who is her soul. She looked into his eyes and lied to him because of these people. Atharv right now feels like no one fought his corner or stood for what he would've wanted, especially not Sujata. And there's Vividha who is doubting whether Atharv even understands her love because he can throw accusations at her without listening to her perspective. Following the precap where Ravish wipes her sindoor Atharv & Vividha are finally together, but they've never been further apart. For a while now their battle isn't with society, it's with one another. They have to overcome the hurdles presented to them through the web of hurt, mistrust and lies, and come back stronger because they have to fight Kailash together.
