I don't understand what maya said to him that he had change of heart for vandana all of sudden was it that impactful .. its the writers who have not taken character of Arjun as seriously as they have shown maya or saanjh
True That!!! I was so hoping that we would have some scenes or monologues explaining what Arjun feels for Maya before the whole confession happened. The Vandana change of heart scene like you said was so so random. I mean Maya just confessed about her abusive past and instead of making that scene about Arjun finally understanding where Maya was coming from and probably seeing her in a new light and developing a soft spot for her, the whole scene became about his relationship with Vandana. One dialogue by Arjun saying that he had new found respect and admiration for Maya for the way she had handled her life alone in spite of all these hardships would have probably atleast provided some explanation about his change of heart.
In fact they did not even show any monologue in his mind justifying his realization of the love in the boat scene before the confession. At least then if we could have had something showing us why and how Arjun realized that he had fallen for her it would have gone a long way in understanding his character.
