Anyway Happy Lohri to all of u who celebrates it.Im only knew about Diwali Celebrations.😊
Lohri is a Punjabi festival and it is celebrated on January 13 each year . Lohri is celebrated to mark the end of peak winter , this festival is traditionally associated with the harvest of the rabi crops . The traditional time to harvest sugarcane crops is January , therefore, Lohri is seen by some to be a harvest festival . And thus, Punjabi farmers see the day after Lohri (Maghi) as the financial New Year . The festival is celebrated all over the Punjab, Delhi, Kashmir and other parts of northern India . There are 2 more beliefs as to why this festival is celebrated but this is the most prevalent reason .
Punjabi men and women perform Punjabi folk dances around a bonfire; Bhangra and Giddha are popular among them . Later in the evening , people gather around the bonfire and throw Gachak, Rewri, Peanut and Popcorn into it and sing folk songs . 😛😛
