While other countries have started valueing the education system prevailing in our country, are we still retaining it or overkilling it for competition.

We have lost our traditional method of gurukul, With current schooling it looks more drilling then teaching. Ofcourse mostly the cream of IIT,NIT etc goes abroad and sets an excellent example of Indians. Now if they copy our method , are we ready for such competition??? Is it going to be spreading knowledge or cutting throats???

What an excellent topic Lataji 👏 got to gather my thoughts to respond... will be back in lil bit.

Okay am back...😊

Our education system rocks 👏👏 ... Yes we do start early at 3 years old... but it pays off at 25 if everything goes right we earn masters. Atleast bachelor's by 21-22... thats so beneficial after from standard of our education..we are at par or > with rest of the world at similar age. Now comes the question of pursuing higer studies with prime institues, well if planned well then pursuence of higher studies shouldn't be a over kill...absolutely depends on career one's wants to go ahead with... but not a over load. With IIM's also there are various avenues open in today's times. Rahi baat competition ki, its there in any field let it be studies or selling tea on a road side stall... one has live an dcope up with it, nothing can limit it. Infact it's nice life is testing our threshold on achievements in the name of competition bring best out of individuals and marching towards betterment of humankinds.

Nice topic...

In reality most of the schools and colleges donot follow any methods of "Indian Methods of teaching"....everything is mechanical😕..students learn for marks and ranks......if they start learning for learning sake ..they will be out in the race.

What are these Japanese people going to learn?😕

I really dont Think our education System Rocks.Infact it is in dire need of a MAJOR overhaul..Learning is by rote for the sake of Marks and Ranks.

No Application Skills are Taught.Infact Students passing out of Mumbai university are not getting Great Jobs due to lack of aptitude and applicative Skills! It always about Marks Marks and More Marks.

I wonder why and how Gurukul system got destroyed...

But I think the news article is exagerating things, Japanese would be foolish to copy "current" Indian learning system.

If anything we should study and replicate their model here. There success story has been nothing short of incredible..kahaan WW2 mein khatm they woh log, aur phir dheere dheere woh log har cheez mein world leader ban gaye.

Main ek article padh rahaa tha ki how in India Govt has pathetically failed to provide quality primary education through its schools, Govt Schooling system has been a disgrace (except few like Kendriya Vidhalayas, Navyug Schools )...quality naam ki koi cheez nahin hai. Ek Gareeb aadmi apne bachche ko govt school hi bhej sakta hai...which means s/he'll never be able to compete with kids from "public" schools (doesn't matter s/he is more brainy) jahaan par well off families ke bachche padhte hai...

Govt must do whatever it takes to overhall and improve its schools drastically and bring them close to "public" schools. Education par aur jyada expenditure karna chahiye...syllabus ko continuously update karna chahiye. I remember in my B.Com. some subjects syllabus had not been updated since a decade or more...Dilli Unv mein yeh haal tha to baaki jagah kya hoga soch sakte hain. Syllabus ko simplify karna chahiye...trim bhi karna chahiye. Faltu ke chapters cut kar dene chahiye.

Aur mujhe to yeh samajh mein nahin aata ki languages ke paper hote hi kyon hain School mein. Bol/Likh/Padh liya bas isse jyada aur kya chahiye?
