My Box Office Predictions for Ok Jaanu

A small section of the article was edited out, which I will post below. The section described how I reached my opening day prediction, based off of a list I created (which you can see on the original post).

"An interesting analysis is that the odd numbers in the list (1 and 3, WAZIR and YAARIYAAN) are similar to each other (5+ crore range), whereas the even numbers (2 and 4, TEVAR and MKBKM) are similar to eachother (7+ crore range). If OK JAANU follows a similar pattern, given the fact that it's an odd number (#5 on the list), it will collect a similar number to the other odd numbers in the list, WAZIR and YAARIYAAN, which seems appropriate given the fact that the main male lead of both of these films (Farhan Akhtar and Himansh Kohli respectively) have little to none ability to pull audience to the theatre on their own, similar to Aditya Roy Kapoor. YAARIYAN collected approximately 14 lakhs more than WAZIR, and OK JAANU will collect approximately 14 lakhs more than YAARIYAAN.

During the opening weekend, the negative public WOM (Word of Mouth) will kick in, and on Monday, the film will face a big fall in collections."

Why do people keep asking him, how he does it? How about reading his article instead, he explains that he collects data from the last few years of similar films released on similar dates and then adds other smaller variables such as buzz to reach an estimate. Kinda how the stock market works.

Your doing a great job Srkat, should've kept your analysis a secret though because it's very close to accurate, most of the time. I think Bollywood is going analytical like the rest of the world and sites like Ormax could've used your formulas and skills.
