Won't it get an average tag if it does lifetime of 35-40 crores??
Box Office verdict also depends on the price at which the film was sold to distributors. A film usually has to collect about double of what the distributors paid in order for the film to be safe for distributors. I don't have information regarding the price at which the film was sold, though.
Looking at this disturbingly low opening, 35-40 crores is looking to be a distant dream for Ok Jaanu:
BOI:
Ok Jaanu had a pretty fair start in the morning but did not go through with the collections in the evening as it collected around 3.75-4 crore nett. The probable reason for this is the release of XXX - Return Of Zander Cage in the evening or the fact the film is only really for youth as it deals with a love in relationship so the evening audience does not really come for it. The collections are still better than films like Rock On 2 and Fitoor but it looked a total of around 4.50 crore nett in the morning. The film was best in the premium multiplexes of Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore while Delhi NCR could have been better and also East Punjab.
