Why Gul always go overboard in showing her heroines a super innocent? - Page 5

I was simply irritated yesterday for that scene although I'm AniOmRu fan. Anika who is an independent woman, who knows names of all those Western food items SSO ordered, who google for recipes etc cannot google or know the meaning of blush? And what's that with English movie. No offense to anyone but I fond some of Bollywood movie's steamy scenes look much vulgar than some of Hollywood's. It was clearly to satisfy the TRP Aunties.

Women empowerment is just a "catch phrase" to many. They dont beleive in it at all. Especially these producers who ACT like they do. But to make money they will kick it all to the curb and show the same old thing of Mahaan FL forgiving ML for any atrocity and sacrificing her life for his family etc. That is what people are fed each day, and hardly any of these show makers are brave enough to brake the norm.

If everyone thought like these Indian show makers do, women will still have no voting rights and living at the mercy of some man everyday, not able to inherit property. (That was the case during Jane Austen's time in England). Kate Shepherd a New Zealand woman was the woman who led the campainge for women to get the vote. New Zealand was the first country to give women the right to vote, and that is just ONE of the reasons why I am proud to be a New Zealander. In my country we actually practice what we preach.

Off Topic: So you're from New Zealand?? Once upon a time I was so much fascinated with this beautiful country that I wanted to migrate there, did all sorts of reserches etc. then life changed. I am also afraid of Earthquake. 😕

Anyone can like anything they want. I am saying MY stance and that is not moral policing. I said I dont like it, but others may like it. That is THEIR issue. But me saying I dont like to see such things is MY stance, and I am allowed to say it.

like i said above, i'm not even going to talk about the writers and Gul here, because they really suck at what girl's empowerment is😛

However pardon me, but didnt i just read things how like girls can swoon on SSO, Shivika's chemistry and how those girls forget how SSO married Anika and so on here!

but i think i read something that you wrote about Ishana some time ago, and you are completely right, Ishana was bashed a lot because of her grey/stupid character, still less than Anika, but mostly by Om's fans😆

Like neeme said it's story of all Hindi shows these days. Girl is so witty have a different Outlook for world, respect elders but points out their hypocrisy as well, love life etc etc etc. Then there's this guy who comes across as jerks, obviously millionaire, have nice stylish suits and phones. Bam both meet. Always catch and fall scene cause those don't go out of fashion. Then some stupid fight and girl hate him while boy is so obsessed that he's spewing dialogue like main tumhari Zindagi barbad kar doonga. A chugalkhor aunty who's there to make faces at camera. In 2 months louu is over. Then wedding. Now it's repeat telecast of Gopi vahu sans evil MIL. Funny part is the viewers who watched and was vocal advocate of show since day 1 will vehemently deny if you point out the obvious.
