Is The Upcoming Generation The Most Nepotistic We've Ever Had?

From the actors...the only outsider is Sushant...and i gues Sid even though we know KJO backs him up. The rest of them are all from star families - Varun, Arjun, Ranveer, Tiger, ARK, Harsh, etc
And from the girls we just have one...Anushka...the rest are all film girls - Alia, Shraddha, Parineeti, Sonakshi, Sonam, etc

If we look at the current top actresses, almost all of them are outsiders - Deepika, Priyanka, Katrina, Kangana..and there was Vidya before, the only star kid joining that group is Kareena but thats fine...but the upcoming generation seems to be doing the exact opposite.

Even though our cinema is improving...I dont think the actual internal part of the industry has improved, in fact it seems to have gotten worse.

I guess supply of Star-kids in this generation is very high.
Blame it on plastic surgeries, now every star kid can look decent . Till previous generation, only the ones who had some looks and talent, tried their hand at acting .
Also, in olden times, parents used to put in money to launch their kids, now there are many financing options. So why not give it a go?

I agree to some extent. The upcoming generation is nepotistic. While there is some great talent. I'm sure if an outsider got all the scripts as easily as some of the star kids get, we would easily find someone more talented or perhaps who was good looking + talente + could dance. I wish they were more open to outsiders.

But what is the problem if a star kid is actually talented & goodlooking enough. Like Alia & ranbir. I feel they are deserving and have proved themselves.
Talent & acceptance from the audience is important.

For a long time Bollywood parents would try to avoid getting thier daughters into industry. It was mostly producers or actress mom who got thier daughters in. Now there is no such exclusion. Bollywood's image as industry has improved.

But it is extremely unfair in Alia's case. She was unable to prove her talent in her first film only. Do you think if an outsider did SOTY, any director in their right mind would have given her a role like Highway?

It would have been different if she had proven herself as an actress in her first film.
Of course we cannot blame her. Or any star kid for taking advantage of their opportunities. It's not their fault, it's people like KJO who are at fault.

Shooting - Even Kirti Sanon got opportunities after that sorry debut in Heropanti. Yes Alia gets pointed out but she has proved herself in Highway and DZ.
Alia and RK are above nepotism .

I think we all know how she Kriti got her other opportunities...and Alia will never have to do what Kriti did. Nor has Kriti gotten a role like Highway (and probably won't for a long time)
That is a good example of how Alia is not above nepotism

And I'm not saying Alia has not proven herself NOW as an actress..but she still got an opportunity to prove herself more than once.
Unlike RK who showed he could act in his debut film

Alia is talented. Very talented. But you made a very valid point here. So many newcomers if given the same amount of scripts could have proven themselves just like she did. They didnt get chances.

I just watched "Yeh ZIndagi" a few night back. I relate so much to the character. Her portrayal was so natural.
