I didn't get that too but I guess we should assume an extra day passed by in between that wasn't shown.

Oh you are talking about yesterday's scene where they eat with dadi. Fast was yesterday (the day before they were eatingwwith dadi)

They have to fast for 11 mondays, and karthik clearly told dadi that they even fasted yesterday.
