Part 20
Bajaj gives more responsibilities to Brij that he is unable to think about getting back Arnav and NK back to his fold. Sameera comes to the Raizada company for Brij but he is very busy at the conference meeting. After the meeting, Brij is eager to meet Sameera who is waiting for him. Brij eventually meets her in the cafeteria.
Sameera: It's really been a long time. I have been waiting for you.
Brij: What to do? My dad has given me a lot of responsibilities. He can send me abroad to meet the international clients anytime within this week and I cannot say no. If Arnav was there, it would reduce his burden but he always wants to break our family rules. Not only this, he has also taken NK to his fold. Even my kids are getting influenced because of him. They don't eat without him. They don't sleep without listening Arnav's guitar and I have to keep quiet because of Ragini and the kids. They don't even do their homework without him.
Sameera: The only way to get your brothers back is to leave their careers to their choice.
Brij: Do you know what are you talking?They are interested in acting, singing and dancing which is very much against our traditions. It is all because of my stupid grandpa. My brothers were exactly like my kids. They never listened to anyone except my mom and grandpa.
Sameera: if mom is the support system, why don't you tell her?
Brij; That is the problem. Both mom and dad are supporting them.
Sameera; I have a plan.
Brij: Yes, tell me.
Sameera tells him the plan. Suddenly he gets a phone call. It is none other than Bajaj's call.
Brij goes to the cabin.
Bajaj: You now have to go to the foreign delegates for which you have to go to Bangkok. You have to leave by today evening's flight. I have booked the ticket for you. I will see that your belongings reach you.
He calls Prerna and said, "Brij has to go to Bangkok. Tell Ragini to do the packing."
Prerna calls up Ragini and said, "Brij is leaving for Bangkok by today evening. Please pack his belongings."
Ragini: I have already done the packing. I heard him talking to the manager to take care when he is not there.
Prerna: Good.
Ragini gives the suitcase to Ramu servant to do the needful. Ramu goes to the airport and hands over the suitcase to Brij before he entered the airport.
Brij takes his luggage and gets into the flight by evening. He reaches Bangkok on time.
Brij reaches the airport. Ramu hands over the suitcase to him.
Sameera's idea to Brij Flashback
Brij: What is the idea?
Sameera; Simple, just pretend to accept that you are fine with them pursuing their career in music. just try to convince your parents about it. Apologize to your brothers and get them home. Give them all you have promised and slowly bring them to the management fold. Then, you load them with so much of work that they won't get time to go for the music. You don't have to beat them or kill them for that.
Brij: Yes, that is a good idea.
Bajaj calls him at that time.

At Gupta House
Geet's wedding preparations are going on. All are busy.
Shubhadradevi: When Geet is getting married, chances are there our Khushi might get a proposal. Tell her to be ready for it.
Garima: Our Khushi is an all-rounder. She is good in studies, sports, drama, singing, stitching, and cooking. There is no doubt about it.
Shubhadradevi: I know that but she has to get herself dressed up well. This type of dressing will not do. She can't dress up the way her friend Lavanya does.
Garima: Khushi isn't a kid. She knows everything. you've got to understand that times keep changing and in this generation, the children are smarter than the elders.
Shubhadradevi: For few days, she has to help out in decorations.
Shashi: All these are taking place at Khurana mansion. Everyone are going to do that work. Why do you take tension?
Shubhadradevi: I'm afraid that Khushi does not refuse the proposal.
Shashi: As parents we are anxious but we cannot dump our girls anywhere. We have to see their background and we should know what is in Khushi's mind.
Shubhadradevi: kya zamana hain? Our times are much better. The girls were accepting whatever the elders decide. You people have given them the lenience.
Nandini overhears the conversation. She said, "Yes, exactly, that is why so many marriages had failed. We are human beings. not a scapegoat that we should blindly accept the proposals. When guys can choose their partners why can't we? Just because Khushi is not at home, it does not mean you can do anything behind her back."
Shubhadradevi: Behave yourself. What do you know about the outside world? Don't we know what is good for our children and what is not? Love marriages are not allowed in our house.
Nandini: Maan and Geet love each other. What do you say for that?
Shubhadradevi: Oh really? Fine, I will ask Shashi and Garima.
She calls Shashi and Garima. They come to the room.
Shubhadradevi: Is Geet marrying according to her choice or have you found a boy for her?
Garima: It is both. Geet and Maan are working in the same company. We were finding matches for Geet. Maan's grandmother had brought the proposal.
Shubhadradevi: But what was the need for Geet to work outside?
Shashi: our business was down. So Geet wanted to support the family. Maan has always stood for her.
He tells Dadi about Geet's past. Dadi is shocked. She said, "I've got a match for her. Her marriage with Maan cannot take place."
All are shocked.
Shashi: That is not possible now. Geet is engaged and she will be getting married in a couple of days. You can take that as an arranged marriage.
Shubhadradevi: If Maan's grandmother had come with the proposal, was it not necessary to inform me? Fine, do as you please. But don't come to me if anything goes wrong.
She goes to the temple. Nandini goes to Shashi and Garima and asked, "Why did you lie to Dadi that you were finding matches for Geet?"
Shashi: You know very well that her thinking is backward. But, she is my mother. I cannot be rude to her saying that I will do what I want. As long as she is here, I have to keep her happy in every possible way. I know that Maan will take good care of Geet.
At Khurana mansion
Khushi is printing the wedding invitation cards for Maan and Geet's wedding. She shows the samples.
Shardadevi: Select one of the designs.
Geet selects the design having a green color.
Shardadevi shows it to Maan.
Maan: Yes, this one is nice. Khushi, design more cards like this.
Khushi designs the invitation cards. All of them send invitation cards to all the known persons.
Maan and Geet think of another plan to bring Arnav, Khushi, NK, and Lavanya close. Maan gives the tasks to all 4 of them. Arnav and NK have to rehearse for the next day's dance sequence. Both the couples are given separate rooms. They have to do it for at least 2 hours. After they have completed the rehearsal, the doors are locked.
