2017 on Indian television begins with a bang and a wedding! Naira and Karthik on Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will finally get married this month in the show. And the wedding is going to be huge. It's going to be a month long wedding to be shot in Rajasthan. Producer of the show Rajan Shahi and his team is currently try doing recce for the wedding in Rajsthan. Khimsar in Jodhpur has been locked as the final place for the grand event.

This place has a beautiful village in a desert, a resort and the beautiful palace of Khimsar. Also, this is the same palace where Salman Khan-Saif Ali khan starrer Hum Saath Saath Hai was shot. Balika Vadhu was also shot last year in the same location. The celebrations of the wedding have begun in both Goenka and Singhania family. After Akshara's death last year, the Singhania family is gearing up for their daughter's wedding. While in Karthik's house also, celebrations are in full swing. Though there will be many twists during the engagement ceremony but somehow Nairaa and Karthik will manage to sail through it. The show is known for its opulent wedding and for past 7 years all weddings in the show have been colourful and grand. The show opened with Akshara and Naitik started their life in an arranged marriage and discovered love post marriage. Starting from Shaurya and Varsha's wedding, the show first year culminated with Akshara and Naitik's wedding. This was followed by a series of wedding of everyone in the family . Even Akshara and Naitik got married twice in the show.

So in the same tradition, Karthik and Naira's wedding will be one grand affair. Since the story of the show is based in Rajasthan the team was looking for an authentic place to get the real feel of a Marwari wedding. So the Khimsar resort of Jodhpur and the Sand Dunes resort will be place where the shoot of the wedding will take place by end of month. Along with this wedding Naira will start her new journey as a daughter-in-law of Goenka family.
