After a terrific performance in PINK, Taapsee Pannu is all set to win your hearts with Running Shaadi.com, a romcom produced by Shoojit Sircar. The movie has seen a lot of production delays for the past couple of years, so we are glad that it is finally seeing the light of the day, as Running Shaadi.com is all set to release on February 3, 2017. Amit Sadh is the male lead, while the movie is directed by Amit Roy.

The movie is about how the leads of the movie start an organisation that helps young couples elope and get married. As we know, our country is yet to completely embrace the idea of inter-caste marriages, especially in small towns, leading to many youngsters run away from their homes to get married to their sweethearts. Running Shaadi.com tries to address this, going by the first look that was released by the makers today. The poster has the leads sitting behind a desk that has the tag Bhagayange hum, nibhayenge aap (we will help you elope, you have to make it work.' The trailer will be out in some time.

Running Shaadi.com was supposed to be Amit Sadh's next after his breakout role in Kai Po Che. The actor , who was later seen in as the lead in Guddu Rangeela and later in a supporting role in Sultan, had earlier spoken about the delay in an interview. where he said, " I am very happy (about the February release). It has been painful two years because after Kai Po Che!' this was supposed to be my first film. I cannot explain and express the depression and the sadness that I have gone through. I guess Taapsee seconds the same emotions because we are very close friends."


Talking about the movie, Amit revealed in the same interview that it is a "very mature, cute love story and things people do in small cities. I hope it entertains people. I hope they love the simplicity of these beautiful characters in the film."
