I will put it away carefully in the refrigerator, and eat Grandma's big white cake first. Then, before I cut yours, I will take a nice photo of it, so that I can remember how splendid it looked! Won't that be nice, my poppets?

Now come and sit down, and let us all eat nice hot idlis, masala dosais and crisp vadais with chutney. Shall we have a slice each of Grandma's cake? OK, here we are! Eat up, now! The genie who flies the magic carpet is getting restless, as the rental period will soon be over, and I would not want you to be stranded!

Done now? OK, now give me a nice goodbye hug, both of you! Climb carefully on to the carpet, Babloo dear, or you will fall off. And don't fight with Baby on the way home, for then both of you will fall off!

Fine, now I will tell the genie to take off, shall I? Be sure to drop me a line thru Grandma once you are safely back home. And give her a big hug and a kiss from me, and thank her for the lovely cake. You will remember all that?

The thing is, you know, that by now, I have fallen into the habit of seeing Baby and Babloo as real, live kids, and so I write to them as if I was talking to two little ones of whom I am tremendously fond.

That's why it gives a reality feeling as they are with you.😛

Thanks a million for this very nice message of good wishes, lavishly embellished with photos and animated figures.

I absolutely loved, in that order, the gorgeous bouquet of white and pink tuiips - I was once our Ambassador to the Netherlands and I fell in love with tulips then - next the wish in Tamizh.

Then the ponytailed little girl blowing out the candles on her cake - I do not know when I looked like that, but I must have done so at some point!

Finally, the animated clown, with the timer for the birthday wishes to appear and disappear.

You are very clever, Abinaya, with all this stuff. I am, alas, technologically challenged!
