Anand, India is now becoming a center for surrogacy .

Critics are saying that it is exploitation of poor-Indian women. Where infertile couples around the world putting them on risk just to save cost.

What is your opinion on this 😊

I love the title of the article. "The new jobs outsourced to India". This sounds more likely some Pimps in India has found a way of taking advantage of poor women or some people have found a way of making money.

This issue just sounds like how many NRIs go to India for Kidney transplant. Or how rich people cut the lines in getting organs they need.

its only indians again who instead of thinking of adoption go for surrogate IVF or whatever...

I would rather people think of adoption not this.

I do agree - adoption would be a far better option than surrogacy. But having said that, if a couple really insists on surrogacy as opposed to adoption, then I dont see why "outsourcing" it to India would be such a bad idea, SO LONG AS good medical care is provided to the surrogate mother. If the surrogate mother is promised good medical care, and doesnt mind carrying someone else's baby for them, is getting into the situation willingly, and is receiving enough money to feed and take care of her family in exchange for providing a couple with a baby that they've wanted, then it sounds like a win-win situation to me. Sure, doesnt sound like the ideal job we'd want "outsourced" but if the women in question have no objections, and are getting into it out of free will, and are receiving adequate compensation in return, then what's wrong with the arrangement?

Surrogacy is an option when it is for a family situation but not for business.

I would do anything for my children god forbid they could not have any child of their own. Call me crazy but I would do it in a heart beat 😳 In this case adoption would be a secondary choice in my mind.

For those who can't have children they should adpot first b4 going into this sort of business deals. 😳

I know two people who went thru surrogacy in family. One for SIL (for Devrani) and one for sister. 😃
