^This.

Have seen this trend where the promos show something different yet its the same wine in a new bottle. i liked the initial promos of Swabhimaan as it was about a mother and the tribulations of her 2 highly educated daughters. But the chandelier promo (both girls dressed as brides) kinda hinted that the show might take the same route - of saas-bahu, kitchen politics etc.

I hope I am wrong and the show surprises us.

ps: sorry for any typos. Using phone -_-

Exactly Erised. I was all upbeat seeing the promos where Meghna rejects a groom for demanding she be a housewife. But then, along came the 'brides-holding-chandelier' promo. While Naina did save the heavy chandelier from crashing to the ground, that promo definitely threw a heavy rock at my glassy hopes and shattered them to pieces. 😆 I was like, "Uhh...Here we go again".

Well krystle, its a tragedy of indian television and hence we don't expect much from it. Its the same story each time. And if you closely look at various successful shows which usually rule the trp charts are mostly a saas-bahu sagas. So the makers don't take into consideration various experiments. And the rajshris are known for giving family dramas. So not a new thing. But I do feel that this show will not give us any illogical dramas just like involving naagins nevlas or even bhoots and chudails! Right now its seen touching the very basic elements of the difference between the highs and the lows and sharda's quest for her daughter's brighter future in their sasural. And we might stick to the show in future due to our favs, my being MeghNal here.
I just hope the makers do introduce tracks in future keeping the concept of the show in mind rather than moving away from the main plot thickening it to a further level!

Hopefully Meghna and Naina will put their education to use and work in the family business. They may be able to neutralize the hold that Sandhya has on the family. Unlike Kunal's mother, these girls will be able to stand their ground against Sandhya especially if they have supportive husbands.
