Meghna All Set to Become the IIM Paas Housewife

This is something funny about 90% Hindi shows. They start off on a good note with the heroine being all spunky and strong-headed, and then she either:

1) Falls for her boss at work, if she's working. Gets married to him and becomes a rich housewife.

2) Has an arranged marriage and becomes a housewife.

Meghna-Naina from this show will ultimately go the same way. Meghna especially, for all her IIM degrees and a broken record playing the word "SWAABHIMAAN!!!" over and over again, will become a full-time homemaker and duel her saas.

I'm going to hold onto the fact that the concept is different. It is something that I can't relate to in a personal level but would love to see how it's brought about.

There's everything wrong with starting a show based on economic independence and self-respect, and then showing the women tread the regressive beaten path.

House wife or not is one's choice. I guess what they are trying to show is a working wife, daughter-in-law who can do it all.
I personally haven't seen a show where they talk about in laws not wanting or letting their DIL's work. Most shows like you mentioned automatically make the leads housewives!! This will be different. Fingers crossed for it. Optimistic here!!

From what I saw in the promos, both girls will concentrate on the matters of the household (Naina in keeping the family together, Meghna in trying to take it apart). I don't think that would leave them much space for any professional life.

I really hope that it's not what happens. I would be sorely disappointed and probably stop watching it!!

Nothing wrong being a house wife but yeah Meghna is surely not going to turn that one.
She is very much focused.
She has her own goals.
Show theme is also that after a marriage how they career as well as their marriage life

And jb meghna ko apni job pe concentrate krna chahiye shes ol into this wedding fiasco
Thats unwritten rule of indian tv

That's pretty sad. Here's to hoping this will be different.
