Why is IF suddenly so slow?

Somtimes it does show network issues hit today wasn't that day for me. It's extremely annoying when it does happen though!!

What about yesterday when I couldn't log in for 2-3 hours. 😔 Site was booting me out and then it kept saying cookies are disabled or something like that. I am an alone soul and only interact with people virtually here on IF. IF development team please consider this those 2-3 hours were very scary for me. Please do something about it.

I guess IF guys did some planned/unplanned maintenance on their server or webpage yesterday.

For a while, the webpage was not even reachable. I kept on getting Not Found 404 error. And then when it became reachable, I was not able to login because of some cookies disabled issue. Had to restart my machine and then it worked.

And yes, it is a bit slow since then.

But for a site like IF that gets accessed by so many people 24X7, I guess they've been pretty good with the service. 1 day of issue out of the whole year, is kind of no big deal.

I'm facing the same problem from past 3 days. The page takes

ages to load.when I post something or like a post it takes 5 mins to post or like somthing. Sometimes it say my cookies are disabled.please it's a humble request look into this matter.thanks

Hi All,

We are in the process of upgrading our servers to the latest hardware and software. So a few backup processes and stress test were being conducted but unfortunately at the same time we got hit by DDOS attack. However we have mitigated the problem and things are smooth now.

Our sincere apologies on the inconvenience caused. Please do let us know whether now it's working fine at your end?

We understand and this is why we try our best to keep so that there is minimum downtime.
