They needed a bahu who will keep together the obros bond & the warring family. Shivaay needed a wife who can take half his responsibilities on her shoulder and balance him, not become another stress factor & make his heart crumble like some of the fandom want. She has never experienced love, never had the security of having a family, and now you guys want her to walk out without even giving a try. Yeah she tried, but its just a week or so. She has gone through fire, why would she wilt in sun? Shivaay is going to get punished for his misdeeds & his clock has already started ticking. Anika should stay and help this emotionally challenged confused man. She may later choose to walk out when he is no more helpless. If all the women in this country had only cared about their own self respect, then half of us wouldn't have even been in born, or would have been orphans or would have had step moms or so...so just chill. IB is totally gulogical I agree, but remember we are Indians, see that India's daughter documentary and be ashamed enough to ignore Anika's , a fictional character from a daily soap on SP, choice to support her occasionally abusive forced husband!!!

I can't believe this post is coming from a girl. So you think we girls should not have self-respect? I pray that you never come across a guy like Shivaay in real life. I can't comment anymore on this. Don't know if you are a teenager to think such a thing. Occasionally abusive forced husband???

Dude please don't justify wrong message given by fictional haracter.
I know people love shivika and they can't criticize them on current track but this show is showing crap. Take it as entertainment. No need to justify fictional character actions and compare it to real grave issues. Domestic violence and abusive behavior is serious issue and very important issue than this crap show.
I am omkara diehard fan but I will never justify his hypocrisy to cover the truth of accident to save his sister . this is crime . And also I can't support his drug and escapism attitude. But I love kunal portrayal of om and he captivate me so I love to watch him. But that does not mean I will try to justify his action for real.
This is fictional show with fictional characters who are flawed. We can discuss the wrong message given by wwriter through fictional characters and moral of story but justifying favourite actions to glorify them is not good.
Especially when talking about real life issues and comparing them to fictional crap story.
Just enjoy without turning wrong moral in to right one

Problem is not with women empowerment...Or it's only a show ...Problem is with depection of 'indianess 'in the form of tolerantCE to 'occational abusive husband '
Problem is in normalizing 'occational abusive ' behavior in a marital relationship by shows on national television
Problem is with people finding it okay since it's for 'love '

How can 'occational abusive husband ' be Indian when our law says it's punishable ...If it's not Indian ...If it's not normal ...Why portray it as normal or acceptable ...That's the question

PS nothing to do with this show in particular ..Most shows need to stop this idealwife syndrome as a part of nayi soch and give back to society
Consequence will be immediately felt...For one people will stop treating 'occqtionally abusive husband ' as normal

O god, how can you ever relate an SP daily soap with real life. No wonder people files suites against movies and all. Instead of knowing how to filter what comes into your system...its just for ENTERTAINMENT. Worser things are going on in our neighbourhood. But no, we just want to put our head into some others brain child!!!!
It just a show...I thought its just those unemployed and under educated aunties who mix real & reel but NO!!
I don't believe this!!
What do you want to see...a separation track and the depressed feeling that comes with it..or a something dramatic yet funny and all, and close that chapter and continue with your LIFE!!
Sorry I can't type further...a snake just turned into woman near my house...o god someone please help, let me go fetch sm guruma, gurupa sm...eeehw

Actually if we wanna see real life can't we sneak peek through the other house's window and see!!
Its just a show..I'm no Anika, none of us can be...and I don't even find her such doormat heroine either. When you're standing on your right leg, you need to wait till the other reaches the floor, then you can lift the other leg. Or else what happens, you fall. That is just what Anika doing...shivika has there balance of their own!!! Anika didn't even let her devars interfere in their problem.. But we are hell bent on it...eeehw!!
I am not glorifying abuse or anything, treat it as a show...anyway I told to see that documentary coz u can clearly hear what real life people say about women. Such people too exist!!!

^^^suxh people.do exists ...No.doubt in that
My question is are they heros or cowards ...If they are not heros why have a show /shows on them ...This show and many others has been misrepresenting a woman's tolerance as standing by abusive husband , son, father ...Till he regrets and comes back ...I beg to differ thats not tolerance that's setting the wrong example In a already gender biased society

On one hand I agree with you ...It's just a show ...On the other hand I disagree with you ...It is one of the shows which is addimg to this biased and cowardly definition of women's tolenrece in a marriage

Plus tv is a very strong.medium

😆point 1.if every women started
supporting these kinds of helpless soul's then there wont b any women left in the world because IRL what shivaay or any 4 lion character will drive there spouses/gf's into depression...
point 2.its just a fictional character dont get so worked up jst for a fictional character..
point3.my problem with these shows are that if a girl put up with shit thrown at her then she is sanskaari..if not she is sm1 who is at fault for divorce..IB is clearly supporting this misconception

I won't be surprised if Anika gets the Best Actress Award and Nayi Soch Award on Star Plus instead of Harleen or Naz or even Avni who truly deserve those awards because women in India can never like strong women but only doormats like Gopi Bahu and Anika Devi.
