Today's episode just nicely sums up the consequences of lying.

Sona should have told Ishwari the truth right away. But instead she wasted time arguing with Dev.

Dev wants to hide fake pregnancy but leaves report in plain sight.

Radha finds the report because Dev is everyone's driver and takes it to a stranger on the street who surprise surprise, can read a medical report. Logic? What's that again?

Sona is continuing her argument in their room where Dev thanks her for helping him in his lies. Sona said that she got attached to his mother and wanted to give her babies. Not one, but many.

Excuse me for a second here, I'd think this is what usually husband tells a wife or wife tells her husband that I want to give you babies, not one but many. I don't know about you but for the first time in my life I am hearing a wife tells her husband that I want to give your mother babies. Well, since they are same gender, if it doesn't sound creepy, let's reverse the situation.

Say if a husband tells his wife, "I got attached to your mother. I want to give her not one but many babies."

How does it sound? Creepy much?

However Radha reveals the truth to Ishwari and what happens is revealed by spoiler and I already predicted in my yesterday's post.

I wrote, failure to reveal the truth on Sonakshi's part will land her in dog house because as usual Dev will make puppy face to Ishwari and be forgiven in a jiffy and Sonakshi will be insulted left, right and centre while Dev watches silently or protests in a starving-for-three-days voice which will have as much impact as ant's sneeze.

If he had the guts to stand up for Sonakshi, he would have revealed the truth and stood up for her from the beginning. He hid the truth because he did not have the strength to stand up for her if his mother turns against his so called true love.

It's a shame this is what CVs are selling in the name of true love.

Tia great post and thanks for posting today as it gave me a place to voice my thoughts.

Today I want to talk about a movie I watched this weekend called 'Hector and the search for happiness'. In this movie Hector a Psychiatrist has everything in life but decides to go and search for happiness. He meets a professor who says to him that 'People shouldn't be concerned with the pursuit of happiness, but with the happiness of pursuit.'

In this show whatever is left of it each character wants to pursue their own happiness and forgot to really be happy

Dev wants his mother to be happy and in order to achieve that made him and his wife unhappy and looks like failed to make his mother happy too

Sona wants Dev and Easwari to be happy so wants to have a baby ( creepy but that seems to be the sad state of affair )

Easwari just wants to be happy in her own terms so she wants a baby it can be either from Sona or any body who can sleep with Dev ( sorry for being crude)

So the only way this story can go now is :

Sona knows she cannot give a baby to 'EASWARI' so divorces Dev

Dev knows Easwari will not be happy without a Baby so will Divorce and maybe remarry to have a Baby

Easwari just wants to be happy in her own terms so she wants a baby

See a pattern here Easwari being Happy is the ONLY premise of this show

Happiness is letting go of what you think your life is supposed to look like and celebrating it for everything it is.

And here not only are all of them going to be unhappy but they gave up their happiness for an illusion!

It's great to see a post with some sense.After that dialogue of Sonas I was like who the hell writes her dialogues.She is sounding so stupid.Wat does the cvs think??The viewers of this show who are predominantly young girls of today will relate to Sona??Show some logic behind her thought process for crying out loud.Sona seriously thinks she is some baby making machine.When Dev said ur the smartest I was like literally banging my head..The show has now become a democracy of Ishwari.For Ishwari by Ishwari,of Ishwari.Feeling sad for the ppl who signed up for this show for its content.

Thanks Tia for the write up...

As many of you have already pointed out, I dont feel any connect anymore...logic has gone long back...

It sounds weird, creepy and all wrong that someone wants to have babies for her in-law...

You have kids to extend your love for each other(by each other I mean only Wife and Husband...no third party...not even his mom or her mom or any one)...kids increase the happiness that you already have, they dont improve relationships...but on the contrary they might strain an already strained relationships...I have seen a few relationships that went bad after the kids because they had kids for the wrong reasons...

And Sona, you should have told the truth to Ish the moment you came inside...now you are at fault too...may not be equal but atleast 30%...Ish learning it from GKB and over hearing your argument(for gods sake learn to close your door!)...the whole focus is wrong...it is not supposed to be Ish who is majorly hurt in all this...it is supposed to be YOU!...CVs please get back to the logic...rant over

This whole track has been completely mishandled...the only saving grace is the acting by the leads

you know what cv's are trying to convey through this track that Educating girl is irrelevant because after falling in love or getting married girls lost their grey cells ,their self respect and their sense of doing right and wrong. There main aim should be popping babies just to please In laws and husband.😳

Thanks Sabita. Great points. I honestly don't know what Dev wants at this point and don't care frankly. And I am at the point that I don't even what Sonakshi wants. It seems this show is now all about what Ishwari wants which I never signed up for and I don't want to see.

I know, right? Those dialogues seem to have pop out of TRP aunty's handbook. Totally unacceptable coming from a strong, independent, educated woman.

I agree. I am not saying Sonakshi doesn't have the right to feel sad. In fact I wanted her to have a screaming fight with Dev or even cry at the top of her lungs. She didn't lie, she should not feel ashamed. I wanted her to lash out with as much cruelty as possible. Because that's human. That's what people in pain do.

In fact had she done that, she won't be blamed for this because she is equally upset. But again her infertility became all about Ishwari for Dev and her. This is her private pain, why Dev made it everyone's business and why is she making it everyone's business?

For all the women out there who suffered infertility and pain of rejection yet faced the truth with head held high, this track is a slap on their face. What an insensitive way to portray a woman's worth.

That's what we all wanted. But it seems they are only concerned with how they can gift wrap a baby and give it to Ishwari to score points. It's all about a race to win Ishwari's nod of approval. CVs have made a mockery of serious and sensitive issue.
