But Ishwari not packing for dev (in fact it's the same lunch pack that Dev used to take. Bechara) is so very Ishwari.

Like we said before, Sonakshi is now the ishwari-palkon-niwasee-recipient-of-the-suffocating-love. I am surprised Ishwari didnt pack an oxygen cylinder and asked Dev to carry it on his back

My problem was with Ishwari packing the lunch box for Sona who was going to her mother's place ...Below is what I said about Sona taking the tiffin box...

Hi Natasha, right now Sona is simply relieved from the stress she has been under since the day she got married and stepped into Dixit house. Ishwari's acceptance of her as the daughter is a big step in the right direction for Sona.

In her place, most of us will try not to rock that boat.

Just because Sona takes the lunch box, it does not mean Sona would have forgone her mother's Machere jhol or kosho mongsho. She was simply trying to keep the balance.

I would have felt bad to take lunch pack to my mother's house. But since she is Sonakshi she proves her mahanata by smilingly accepting Iswari's offering. Great indeed. Greater is the fact that she is defended by saying that she did that to maintain balance.

That is Ishwari...I think today's scene were meant to show that Ishwari hasn't changed. Her affections have shifted. From Dev to the unborn child. Sona is just a medium for her.

What can I say? Sona and I like to pick and choose our battles coz our ultimate goal is to win the war.

I like the word you used "medium"...indeed to Ishwari, Sona is the medium. Good one!

Seriously, I can't think about Ishu's attitude today or after knowing the truth. Our CVs are special.

"Expect the unexpected"

I don't mind "expecting the unexpected" at all. What I do mind is inexplicable shift in characterization.
