HeartBeat
"I love you Anika," whispered Shivaay in Anika's ears making her lips to curve in a beautiful smile which soon turned into a wider one. It had been almost six months to their marriage. Right from their marriage day, Anika had became habitual of hearing these three magical words from him every day and the shy princess of Shivaay always blushed after hearing them.
Sliding his hands around her waist, he placed a kiss on her right cheek while hugging her from back. "Where were you so engrossed before my arrival?" Shivaay asked remembering she was looking quite lost when he had stepped inside their room. "Nothing Shivaay, its just..." She was struggling to collect words thinking of how to let Shivaay know about what was she thinking.
Shivaay sensed from her tone about her disturbance. Slowly removing his hold on her waist, he turned her towards him. Her eyes had fixed their gaze to the ground as if she was trying to avoid looking towards him. Worry took over Shivaay seeing Anika's tensed face. Holding her chin, he made her look towards him and asked her lovingly, "What happened sweetheart? What is bothering you? Won't you tell your Shivaay?"
Anika wrapped her arms around his neck instantly pulling him in a hug. Shivaay encircled his one hand around her waist and one hand caressing her hairs.
"Shivaay...wo...actually..." She again fumbled with words.
"Yes Jaan... speak sweetheart... " Shivaay said asking her to proceed while pulling himself little back from the hug. He kept his hand on her cheeks looking at her assuring her to let him know about reason of her worried face.
"I... I don't know Shivaay. I... I am scared," she mumbled in feeble voice. Shivaay raised his eyebrows at her not understanding her.
"Scared? Of what Anika?" Shivaay asked while cupping her cheek.
"I don't know...but I am...esa lag raha hai jaise kuch galat hone wala hai... kuch bohot galat... " She finally spoke about her turmoil revolving in her mind from the morning.
Shivaay took a sigh of relief hearing Anika. "There is nothing like sweetheart. Nothing bad is going to happen. You trust me na?"
She nodded positively but fear was still visible over her face. Shivaay placed an affectionate kiss on her forehead in order to assure her. She gave him weak smile. Shivaay was about to utter something when his phone started ringing. "Ek minute Anika," he excused himself from Anika to answer the phone.
"Hello...Now? okay fine...I am coming," Shivaay disconnected the call and turned towards Anika. Before he could say anything, Anika started blabbering, "No Shivaay. You are not going anywhere. I will not let you go." She held his hand in her tight grip with fearful expression.
"Anika...Sweetheart I have to go. I have an urgent meeting now which I cannot postpone or delay. Please try to understand. Nothing will happen to me, trust me." Shivaay said taking Anika in his protective embrace. He pulled her out of hug as soon as he felt her tears on his shirt. Shivaay felt like someone pierced his heart seeing Anika on verge of breaking down.
Wiping her tears, he made her look towards him holding her chin, "Anika...look at me...Look at me baba...I promise you nothing bad will happen. You trust your Shivaay's promise right."
Anika nodded before she wiped her tears. She wasn't at all convinced but still somehow composed herself. "Okay Shivaay...But you promise me that you will take care of yourself and come back as soon as possible," she ordered him innocently.
Shivaay could only smile at his innocent wife's extra caring nature. He nodded positively. Shivaay hugged Anika assuring her once again before leaving, "I will be back in two hours." Anika placed a kiss on his cheek nodding.
Shivaay entered the hotel where his meeting was fixed with Mr. Mehta. Mr. Mehta was his old client. He went and sat on the table booked for the meeting. The table was empty. He called Khanna to check where the clients were but he didn't pick up. Shivaay felt it somewhat weird as this was the very first time Khanna had skipped his call.
"Hello Mr. Shivaay," Mr. Mehta said greeting Shivaay. "Hello Mr. Mehta. Come have a seat." Shivaay said sitting down.
It was almost an hour since they were discussing about their deal. Shivaay was feeling Mr. Mehta's behaviour quite different today but ignored.
Shivaay attention was caught by his ringing phone. He picked the phone seeing Khanna calling, "Hello."
"Sir, it's a trap. Leave from there as soon as you can. Daksh has been escaped from the Jail...please reach to Anika Mam...I am also going to your home with Police."
"Mr. Mehta?" Shivaay said looking at him in sheer disbelief. "Shhh" Mr. Mehta signalled Shivaay to be quite pointing at one man who was sitting at a distance glancing frequently at them. Shivaay took to time to realise Mr. Mehta was helpless. He didn't wish to do this, he was forced to. Daksh's men forced him to. Daksh's men were spying on them to make sure Shivaay to be away from Anika. Mr. Mehta gave an apologetic guilty look to Shivaay.
Daksh's man who was spying on them went to washroom feeling everything was going smoothly according to Daksh's plan.
Disconnecting the phone, Shivaay rushed from the hotel not caring about the Mr. Mehta or Daksh's men. It was no use of messing with them. Right now, he had to be with Anika. She needed him.
Driving to home as fast as he could, he ran inside. The sight his eyes caught made him to hate himself. He was horrified to see the condition of his house. The door was half open. Every single thing in the hall was messed up badly. The flower vas was lying on the floor broken into pieces. His legs tremble as he saw the blood strains on the broken pieces of the vas. He felt as if his heart would stop beating any moment imagining the pain Anika must had bear to. Walking towards it, he kneeled down touching the blood on the glass. Shivaay closed his eyes in regret and screamed, "Anikaaa,"
"Shivaay Sir," Khanna shouted seeing the condition of home and broken Shivaay. He went near Shivaay keeping his hand on Shivaay's shoulder. Shivaay opened his eyes. They were bloodshot red in anger and rage.
"I won't leave that bas***d...how dare he? How dare he touch my Anika? How dare he hurt Anika? I will kill him" Shivaay was at extreme peak of anger. If it was possible to kill someone mentally, Daksh must have died uncountable times by then.
"Sir please calm down. We will find Mam soon. It's just one hour. I am sure they must not be too far," Khanna said trying to calm Shivaay down.
"Just one hour? It's ONE HOUR dammit. ONE HOUR... Anika was already scared from the morning. She...she kept telling me something wrong is gonna happen. She asked me not to go outside...but I...But I am an idiot...bloody idiot...I didn't listen to her...in fact convinced her, assured her...I promised her I won't let any wrong happen...but now see...because of me Anika is in Daksh's hands...All because of me...all because of me." Shivaay cried loudly blaming himself for all the happenings. His heart clenched in fear thinking what Anika must has been facing now, what that monster has been doing with her.
"Sir please sambhaliye apne aap ko. We have to find mam soon...we can't risk mam's life...please sir let's go," Khanna told Shivaay while getting up.
Wiping his tears, Shivaay stood up composing himself with determination of getting Anika back. "Don't worry Anika. I am coming. Your Shivaay is coming. I will bring you back. Just wait for few moments. Please don't give up. I won't let him to harm you. I am coming Anika...I am coming."
