The curious case of the ACP

ACP stepped inside the Chabbra villa only to be surprised listening someone laugh at a controlled level. He indicated Varma to tell the other officers to spread and gather as much information as they can regarding this family. Their rivals, neighbors,friends,relatives,servants,daily newspaperman, milkman,vendors of the nearby shops... everyone should be inquired but not like that at an interrogation room but the other way, to keep it discreet as here it is the Chabbras they are talking about and any mistake can only lead to a disaster. Meanwhile he went towards that part of the house from where someone was laughing softly. That led him into the sprawling garden. Roses of many colours and perfumes that only made ACP sneeze louder. Yes! He is allergic to roses. The laughing stopped. He heard some one whisper. Ranveer wondered "wow!! So it's Priyanka who was laughing but why has she stopped laughing now?". He quickly saw someone beside her clear his throat to gain attention while he was busy looking at her blankly and lost in his own thoughts. "Dev? Yeah! That made sense. After all he is the reason for her happiness. Her boyfriend,her friend,her everything,her DEV". Another sound to gain attention and ACP was back to his 'real ACP self '.
Dev : " Hello Sir! How are you?Remember me ?... We met...
Priyanka: " ...at the Ashram".
ACP : " yes yes! I remember you. You are Dev who was almost engaged to Miss Oberoi ".
Priyanka glared at Ranveer straight into his eyes after his reply.
ACP : "Hello Miss Oberoi! Quite a sunny day. Isn't it? How are you? Busy with...
Dev interrupted him saying ...wedding preparations. ACP raised his eyebrows and moved closer to Priyanka for further clarification. Suddenly Rehaan and Soumya joined them from behind.
Rehaan: " I'm sorry Sir! I didn't realise you are here then I...we wouldn't have interrupted in this conversation".
Soumya: " Sorry Sir! We thought that we would surprise Dev bhaiya and Priyanka like that. We didn't realise you are here too. We would talk later to you guys. Sir! You please continue".
ACP : "No problem! Miss! I was only entering inside when someone... I mean something caught my attention and because of the nature of my work, I'm left to find things on my own. So here I'm. Dev and Miss Oberoi I'm really sorry to disturb your privacy. I will be on my way". Saying that ACP left the four of them shocked there and walked towards the front door.
Dev : "Is it me only or did someone else found ACP a little strange?". Saying that he scratched his head a little.
Priyanka: " He is an ACP Dev! it's in his nature to be weird". She laughed a little saying that and gave Soumya a high five. Ranveer heard that. It really felt painful somewhere down his chest. "Why? Did she said something wrong? No! He is an ACP ,he is weird for people but...but...then why? Leave it. Might be the weather taking a toll on my mind" Ranveer thought. "Well I have more important tasks to perform rather than listening to lovers laugh at each other's company and make fun of my nature" he murmured to him.
The Villa was huge,beautiful and had famous paintings hanged all over its walls,decorated with costly statues and furniture but ...still something is missing. It's not grand like that of the Oberoi Mansion. Then why had the Oberois agreed to the engagement with the Chabbras for their only female heir? He was lost in his world when someone tapped his shoulder. "Excuse me. Can I ask you who are you?" Mr. Manohar Chabbra inquired. Mr. Manohar Chabbra, I'm ACP Ranveer Singh Randhawa in charge of Gayatri Tambe murder case".

That's it guys I know it's a long one. But when there are no PriVeer scenes,my mind works double shifts to calm down 😃
