Like people said Kat was bad and Sid was just okay. That's where the whole problem lies. The movie's plot had to be sold. People felt no connection with Sid at all. He failed to show the passion he had for success. He clearly looked like any other person with a job.

In 3 idiots boman sold the passionate professor gimmick like crazy. You could clearly see he had only one focus. In MBBS too, he sold his dedication to work and ignored the humanity aspect completely. Something similar was needed here which was missing.

Also the connection scne, they tried to do the Up kind of thing. The animated movie estabhlished the couple's connection in such a good way that you cried when the old woman dies. But here you felt nothing.

Horrible horrible actors.
