chapter -5garima cuddle baby khushi to her chest. she thanked her devi maiyya to give life to her daughter . her heart has stopped the moment doctor has examined khushi and said that her breathing is almost negligible. doctor said that khushi has caught anonima due to rain. while doctor did what they can , garima just prayed alone in front of devi maiya's idol. she only has khushi , she is alive for her and if something happen to her she won't be able to live anymore . she has got the strenght to live from her , because of her.
she is her family , her everything. she dont want to feel alone again. she dont want to lose her too. god can't be so cruel with her . when doctors told her that khushi's condition is back to normal but still they need to keep her under observation for few more hours. garima has felt as if someone has breath new life into her. from that moment she kept khushi hidden in warmth of her arms, not ready to any harm come her daughter's way. while baby khushi too rejoiced in her mother's embrace.

arvind took arti in her embrace ,trying to calm her down. telling her that everything will be alright , that their son is going to fine . but mother in her could not stop from worrying her heart out. guilt still drowning her from within. she promised to herself that she wont ever do something like this to her son .she wont let any harm come his way. she will let him do what he want . he won't pressurise him to speak. she just want him to come back to her , to just be ok.
after few hours doctor called both of them in his cabin .
"your son is all right now. he had quite a high fever we have given him antibiotics and we will be keeping him under observation for at least one more day"
before doctor could complete his sentence arti asked him what was worrying her from the moment he saw arnav drowned in blood.
"why blood was coming out of his mouth. it does not happen in fever. what.. is .. is my son going to be ok" arti sobbed as she could not control her tears anymore that horrific sight still making her heart stop beating. this has never happened before to arnav. except that he didn't spoke for so long , he was healthy child. while anjali used to remain sick most time of the year arnav would be fine all round except a few times only which was normal.
arvind put a hand around his wife's shoulder trying to sooth her pain and calming her down to listen to the doctor.
"mr. raizada that was what i was going to tell you. actually i believe his voice box might have got injured probably due to continuous screams but this is still very rare .as your family doctor i know that arnav have not spoke for most part of his life ,though in earlier test everything has come normal but maybe we missed something. we don't have the correct technology here to diagnose such complex condition."
" i think you should take arnav to a specialist . i know a very good doctor in the USA , he might be able to tell you more clearly what will be best for arnav. for now you make sure he don't stress his throat much. otherwise he might lose his voice forever "
arti hugged her husband tightly not able to digest such fate for her child. arvind gave a nod to the doctor and tried his best to hold the emotions building inside him. he is a father after all . he might not show to his childrens but he do love them immensely

arnav opened his eyes slowly . his head and throat was still hurting , he was feeling very weak. his innocent eyes meet with his mother's teary one. arti smiled ,tears clouding her eyes. she looked at him with all the love in the world. arnav looked here and there finding someone.
he got scared not finding khushi anywhere near him. his heart beated fast in fear , his eyes accused his mother of taking khushi away from him. his mother's word still run afresh in his mind . how she wanted him to speak otherwise she will take khushi away from him. why can't she understand it hurts him to speak. she also dont love him like his grandmother because he is not perfect , he can't speak .
tears started to form in his eyes, his face turned all emotional. he was a child craving for love . he wanted to be felt loved and needed. he wanted to be felt normal .as his eyes still remained on his mother's . he knew what she wanted she wanted him speak so he would no matter how much it hurt him.
arti saw the play of emotion on her son's face. he saw his innocent eyes turn emotional than deep cold towards her. she broke as she saw how far her son has gone from her.emotions building inside her. will he ever forgive her.
"k..khu.." arnav tried asking where is khushi but his throat hurt like hell whenever he tried saying something
arti closed arnav's mouth and shook her head .
"dont say anything beta. you don't have too."
arnav took her hand off and tried again with determination in his voice " khu..k.."
"please don't arnav . you want khushi here right . i will just bring her .ok she was sleeping earlier let me see if she woke up ok." arti kissed arnav's forehead and promised him that she will bring him his best friend.
"no one will take khushi away from you ok. just dont say anything please hmm.." arti whipped tears off her face and moved out the room leaving arnav with arvind who hugged little arnav close to his heart.
arnav's eye did not waiver from the door from where his mother had left a while back .

arti come running to the room garima was in. controlling her sobs she asked moving towards the baby khushi in garima's arm.
"is khushi awake ? arnav just woke up let me take her to him"
arti's arm stopped mid air as garima turned khushi away from her arms and cuddled her more tightly in her arms.tears dropped from both mother's eyes.
"pl..please garima. let me take her" arti pleaded her hands still opened in mid air.
garima shook her head. how could she she has almost lost her daughter , her life . how could she gave her away to let her hurt again. no she was not that strong , her heart was still fragile from the incident.
"ga..garima. he needs her please . i beg you. his trust on me will break forever please .. pl" arti cried as she begged her friend for her son's life.
garima didn't looked at her once. no matter how much how much her heart was breaking seeing her friend in this condition but she turned her heart into a stone for her daughter.
"please he need her garima. she is his hope please."
arti pleaded again and again but got no response from her. she cleared tears from her face and stood firmly
"i gave you a home . you and your daughter is alive because of me. i stood with you against all the world .is that how you repay my friendship garima."
garima gulped hard she knew she was right. she has helped her when no one would . she has given her hope of life when she was dealing with death.
"i only have her. she is my life . i cant lose her" garima's meek voice reach arti's ears . arti moved closer to garima, putting a soothing hand on her shoulder she said.
"i promise garima your daughter will be safe. i would protect her at any cost always. please give her to me..please"
both looked at eachother with expression of loss and pain.

i hope this is long enough. just one more chapter that will be focused on parents and than we have arshi scenes a lot of them i promise or as much as the story will require. i was sick yesterday so could not update.
