Should remix or remake movie and song considered for any awards ?

if the remake is good enough then why not?

I like remixed Roop Tera Mastana better than original.. for example. The old one is awkward song, the remake was a fun song - who'd have imagined such a remake?

Infact I like many remakes from Indian pops better than old ones..credits to the original have to be given with a compulsion though.

Creativity(yes, to remake on a good level you need creativity), should always be appreciated, when they are good enough that is.

Well, National Awards, for instance, makes any remakes/dubbed ineligible for consideration. 😊

Others don't bother with this soutela vyavhaar

lets assume an actor makes debut in crap movie, or may be in a movie in which he didnt get any recognition inspite of good work, so does he still qualify for debut award after 15 year ?

aren't there other categories? what are the categories in the awards? Is ever ONE particular song given an award? I am not quite familiar with categories... let's take the famous Filmfare awards as an example -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filmfare_Awards.

See the merit awards section - there's no category for ONE song, there are - "best playback - male/female", best music director, best lyricist categories.

Debut is debut - first movie. Then in the next movie he will be under "best actor/supporting actor" category.

IDK, Don has been nominated for Best Film, Best Music... (Yeh mera dil was a remake too)

PS -- I think if there ever is a nomination for a remake song, there should be separate category for it, and also, credits to original are a must like I said
