So, I assume you have watched today's episode approximately 232 times?? And after howling right along with Shivaay, cursing that stupid Pinky and celebrating Shakti's TWO full line dialogues in TWO consecutive episodes, you have opened this post, a little confused. The title, even though you might be forgiven for thinking it, is NOT for Shivaay Singh Oberoi's snail paced brain. It is not even meant for his even slower ability to understand exactly WHY he cried like a child over a sarak ka keeda he's divorcing.
The title is because-- I am BEGGING the CVs and the producers, to GO SLOW. Dheere chalo, bhailog -- you are ruining the story arc. Today's episode was an example of how the movement from scene to scene is almost desperately fast. As a writer, I can tell you-- this is a bad sign.The pacing for this serial is so incredibly off, I am terrified for Omkara and Rudra's stories. At this rate, Shivaay ki pota poti will be coming out by the time Om hold's his girl's hands in his. And the story will suffer, because one couple SO FAR ahead of the others makes all their future interactions unbalanced. Shivaay will be changing nappies soon, aur RUDRA jaise playboy uski khud ki wife ke sath ek romantic date bhi nahi kia.
And yeah, of course, I'm glad they acknowledged that Leeneesh and Kunal are missing with the throwaway "gone to fetch Dadi " line. But they have to SLOW THE BLOODY PACE of the Shivika story now. Its going too fast, and that is me speaking as a Shivika fan, as well as a Rudra Deewani. This idiot of a man (Shivaay.. I find Rudra hella smart) NEEDS his OBros to process everything he's gone through. And they need to fill him in, let him know what is going on with them. Hint bhi chalega. ALSO, uptil now, not one of Shivaay's huge life changes have happened without his brothers by his side. Symbolic or not, whether they can help him or not, they stand, shoulder to shoulder. So, doing the Tia reveal without Om and Rudra is ridiculous. Half the fun was going to be their reaction to her. Now its going to be lost on a narrative someone tells them, when they get back.
No one expects promos to come true within the week of airing. So why couldn't this story-line wait for them? The boys need recovery time, so why couldn't they focus on Shivaay putting Daksh in jail, Daksh threatening them both, Anika falling seriously sick (i mean..come on, she drowned. DROWNED). Itna speed kyu hai, bhai?
And other story lines can be moved too. We don't need the two male leads to build up Soumya's realization, her helplessness. They can move her story forward, show why she is compelled to listen to her mother. Even introduce her mother, who has maybe come to see her daughter on a visit, and who reminds her what she is. To remember this is NOT her family. Maybe remind people why Rehaan is a BAD choice--he hurt her, and will do it again. Position that against Soumya having to marry where she is being told. We can see a modern girl against a traditional daughter, the Love Angel versus the Real Soumya behind the persona.
Priyanka needs to get more internal space. We need more of her thoughts, and I dont mean panicked breathing, i mean her thinking over what she is going through, and deciding how to handle it. She's going to choose wrong, and not tell her OBros. We know that. But I don't know if its the acting, but Prinku is just too ..weak.. onscreen for me, right now. She is an Oberoi, why the hell cant she show SOME spunk? Why cant she stand up-to this guy who's now stalking HER? She can show up at his station, write an FIR on him, threaten him. Its pretty illegal stuff, that he's doing.
Granted she is terrified of him. We all know where this storyline is going, he will forcibly marry her, because not a single Oberoi marries anyone willingly and while they are in their full senses. Khandani bimari, Prinku ko bhi hogi. But this is a police officer, and he is a pretty good actor, too. Conflicted feelings on his part will go a long way of making people not think he's Daksh 2.0. Can't they shoot Prinku's small rebellions (even if they don't work) ? Introduce her to the baby, let her have a bond there, to confuse the uncle even more? Some scenes of her strength should be done here, so later on her backbone has a reason to exist, when she finally tames him. But if she is not shown to KNOW that he is wrong, then later on, why will she struggle?

Honestly, we will have button romance soon. BUTTON romance in 2016, that is where the CV's creativity is at. No matter which couple or brother you ship, its not a joke anymore, I think Gul and Co. ARE trolling us. We should do a counter suggestions page, and here is my start.
