Brij is one terrific support. I'm loving him more and more every update. He is always there for his people, be it his parents, his siblings, Pari or Sameera which is why he feels the burden of failing that one relationship that mattered the most to him.So basically, every character has gone through heartbreak. They all have their fair share of pain, regret, wounds, failure, disappointments and experiences. Also lack of self worth cos of how some of their loved ones made them feel. It's just how they deal with every situation that is what going to define them. How they all grow character and strength wise despite the trial and tribulations is going to matter.I loved that small war of words btw Brij and Sameera. She is one straightforward woman and also who doesn't mind being told to mind her own business. I love that about her. She knows when to interfere and when to shut her mouth but also knows how to shut others. What Brij told her was right but he went overboard and I liked how Sam told him to stop over reacting instead of getting all defensive. It's the type of friendship I love where one can be truthful without any hesitancy.Geet and Maan part was a good one. Geet is gonna be hurting for a long long time given how things went for her. When one isn't at fault and yet life is unfair to them it's hard to come to terms with it. Geet is going through that phase right now. And Maan was being a great friend when he was supportive and understanding; giving her a shoulder to cry on trying to convince her that none of it was her fault and to see her own self worth. He hasn't even spend much of the time with her yet he knows that she is one amazing woman. Something that Dev failed to see despite being with her for so many year.Reminds me of the Quote that goes, "Sometime it takes a whole lifetime to know someone... Sometimes all it takes is just a look" Aptly fits Maan and Geet.Geet took help of alcohol to forget her pain. Hope it's one time moment because she can't always drown her sorrows in them whenever she is feeling down or restless. It will be all temporary. One day or other she will have to wake up and face her reality. The more she runs from it, the harder it will chase her down. So I hope for her best that she finds it in herself to gather the strength to overcome the betrayal and move on. Maybe being in Darjeeling is making it more tough. So hoepfully once she gets back to Mumbai it'll be easy and with time she will heal. She has got amazing brother and SIL and has found friend in Maan and Sameera. But most importantly she has Muskaan. I'm sure her daughter will be the source from which she will get that zeal back. Can't wait for the next chapter.-Sanjana!

Part 18 - Very nice part. I liked how maan soothed geet's pain. He let her to shed r to cry out her pain that was bubbling in her heart. I even liked how geet said no for any physcial closeness and maan promised her that he will not do anything.
I liked Brij-sameera part. Everyone except dev-meera lost their love. I am liking brij-sameera Jodi. She has that authority over him and can question him. I too want brij to move on like sameera said. Oh...naina & sameera are sisters. Still sameera caring for him. It was surprising that birj was little offended that sameera asking him to forgive himself but he was same advising pari to forgive herself.

Part 18...
Awesome... Superb...Thanks for update..Continue soon...Interesting it was...Maaneet scene .. maan handled geet so perfectly well...She got drunk in order to get over her past memories. ..Brij , sameera, pari shared their hearts... Each advising the other to move on but not following the same... Though they all are facing the same pain...Pari finally let out her pain she was holding back for so long...
Part 19
A night to remember
Geet was quite drunk at this point. Maan was watching her as she sat there. Geet was a drunk-talker. She had been unburdening herself as she got more and more drunk.
"You know Maan, I miss mom which is really funny. How can you miss something you never really had?"
Maan watched Geet. She was a mess. Her hairs are messy, her eyes are swollen because of tears spilling from her eyes and she was sporting dark circles around her eyes. Yet in Maan's eyes Geet looked incredibly beautiful.
He concentrated on Geet's question. How can you miss something you never really had? But looking at Geet he realized that it is entirely plaussible.
"No Geet. It is not funny. You are wrong. We can miss someone we never had. We miss all the moments we could have had with them but didn't. We miss their love, their care, their presence in our life. We miss them not witnessing our important moments. We miss building a life with them because as bad as we want them, they don't want us in their life. So yes Geet, we can miss someone we never really had."
Geet's almost unfocussed eyes focussed on his and he felt as if she was reading deep into his soul.
"You don't love Sameera do you?"
"I love Sameera, I will always do but..."
"But?"
"I am not in love with Sameera anymore. I doubt I had ever been to begin with. You see Geet; sometimes you love people but are not in love with them. I thought I was in love with Sameera and I would have been happy just with what I had."
"So what went wrong Maan? Why did you suddenly realize that you don't love Sameera?"
"Because I found out what being in love with someone entitles. I realized how it breaks your heart and still makes you stronger at the same time. I realized that love is not some momentary thing that you can suddenly stop at one point. Being in love with someone means accepting them with all their flaws as they are. And sadly that wasn't the case with me and Sam. I care for Sam. I was worried enough to call Brij and ask him to take care of Sam. I want her to be happy but that's about it. Love is so much more."
"How do you realize what love is then?
Maan didn't answer. Aparrently Geet didn't really need answers. Her eyes were drooping but she was not ready to let go just yet.
"Go to sleep Geet. You have a long day tomorrow."
"I don't want to sleep. I hate the nightmares that come when I sleep."
The vulnerability in Geet's eyes made Maan reached for her. He caressed her cheeks softly and whispered,"Oh Geet!! Don't worry; I will be here to ward away your nightmares."
"You Promise."
"I do."
Geet got up from her chair and stumbled being way drunk at this point. Maan quickly held her and slowly took her towards the bed. Even in complete drunk state Geet was first and foremost a mother.
"What about Muskaan?"
"What?"
"Muski can't sleep alone. I can't leave her alone. My baby would be afraid."
The absolute selfless love of a mother made Maan a bit teary and once again he could feel his sense of loss resurface.
"Don't worry Geet. Once you settle down I am going to bring Muskaan here."
"Okay."
Drunken Geet was way more trusting than the sober one. Maan made her lie down on the mattress before reaching for his bag. Taking out an aspirin he asked Geet to have it.
"What is this?"
"Aspirin."
"Why should I have it? I am feeling fine."
"Geet just trust me. Tomorrow you will thank me for not having a killer hangover."
Geet somehow found Maan's words hilarious. Her musical laughter filled up the room leaving Maan mesmerized by the innocent beauty of it. Maan watched Geet as she looked years younger, her stress lines disappeared and she suddenly looked way more beautiful.
"You should laugh more often. You look beautiful laughing."
"Nobody told me that ever."
Maan felt his heart constrict at these words. Laughing Geet was beautiful. The only reason nobody said her that was because maybe nobody had seen her laughing with such abandon and that was just plain sad.
"I am telling you Geet. You look beautiful when you laugh like that..."
"Do you think Dev ever noticed things like that about me? "
Maan sighed. He decided that he should not let Geet get depressed.
"Dev would be a blind not to notice that Geet."
"We see so many things everyday. But do we truly notice them? Maybe Dev didn't as well."
"Then it is his loss. It has always been his loss. It doesn't change the fact that you look beautiful when you laugh. Nor it should."
Geet was about to say something. When Maan pressed his finger on her lips as Geet looked up at him.
Dekha jo tumko yeh dil ko kya hua hai
Meri dhadkanon pe yeh chhaya kya nasha hai haan
Dekha jo tumko yeh dil ko kya hua hai
Meri dhadkanon pe yeh chhaya kya nasha hai haan
"Now be a good girl and take the medicine and go to sleep. You have a hectic and if I judge rightly emotional day ahead of you tomorrow. You need a good night's sleep. "
Mohabbat ho na jaaye, deewana kho na jaaye
Sambhaalun kaise isko mujhe tu bata haan
Mohabbat ho na jaaye, deewana kho na jaaye
Sambhaalun kaise isko mujhe tu bata haan
Geet was about to speak but stopped herself. She took the medicine from Maan and gulped it down with water. As she looked at Maan Maan tucked her in as if she was a child. He was about to leave when Geet held onto his palm and said,
"Why do you care so much about me Maan?"
Maan smiled and looked at her. There was a strange expression across his face as he thought about the thousands of different ways he could have answered that one question. In the end he chose the simplest one of all which was totally inadequate to express his feelings for her.
"I just do Geet. Go to sleep Geet. I will bring Muskaan back here."
"Would you stay?"
"Do you want me to?"
Geet couldn't answer immediately. Maan smiled at her again.
"Why don't you think about it while I go and get Muskaan from the next room!"
Bheegi bheegi alkon se, chori chori palkon se
Kyun mera sapna churaaye
Jhuki jhuki ankhiyon se, dheere dheere batiyon se
Kyun mujhe apna banaye
Geet watched Maan leave the room. She wanted Maan to stay. Being with Maan always helps her forget her problems. The alcohol in her system wanted her to say yes. Yet should she? She was confused about what to do.
Meri nazron pe chhaaye, khushbu ke jaise aaye
Mera tan man mehkaaye
Saanson mein yeh pal pal jaane kaisi halchal
Kuchh bhi samajh mein na aaye
Maan just then brought Muskaan into the room. Muski was fast asleep holding onto Maan and Maan had wrapped her carefully so she doesn't catch cold. The sight tugged her heart.
Maan placed Muskaan beside Geet and instinctively Muski reached out for Geet and Geet brought muskaan closer to herself.
"So Geet, do you still have the answer to my question?"
Geet knew what Maan was asking but decision making had never been her forte.
"I don't know."
"Why don't I clean the room up? You might fall asleep and I will leave the room."
Geet just looked at him. Might be Maan read her acceptance written in her eyes. He bent down and placed a soft kiss on Muskaan's forehead and went to the opposite end of the room.
Shararat ho na jaaye, mohabbat ho na jaaye
Sambhaalun kaise isko mujhe tu bata
Shararat ho na jaaye, mohabbat ho na jaaye
Sambhaalun kaise isko mujhe tu bata
Maan began dumping the empty beer bottles in the trashcan and just cleaning up the space. Geet watched him work. What was it between them? Why did she always feel this magnetic pull towards this man?
Maan was about to leave when Geet got up and held his hand. Maan looked up and their eyes met. Thousands of words were exchanged in that one eye contact.
"Stay." She whispered losing the war with her heart.
Meri hai yeh mushkil ab to yeh mera dil
Bas mein huzoor nahin hai
Itna bata de mujhe kaise samjhaaun tujhe
Mera yeh kusoor nahin hai
Giving into her instinct Geet wrapped her arms around Maan. Maan was hesitant. He slowly placed his hands at her back. It was little later that he realized that Geet was crying. Breaking the hug he wiped away her tears. He looked at her as if asking her the reason of tears with his eyes.
"It was supposed to be Dev. Why?"
"You know why Geet. You have always known, you didn't just accept it even to yourself."
Pressing a kiss on her forehead he brought Geet to the bed and asked her to go sleep.
"You will need this rest Geet."
"Hmm."
Maan looked at her and said,"I will stay until you sleep."
Chahein hum chahein bhi to, pehre lagayein bhi to
Kaise din raat ko rokein
Aag bina yeh jale, zor na koi chale
Kaise jazbaat ko rokein
Maan watched Geet reluctantly lying down. As if under the influence of some unknown instinct Maan went near her and started softly messaging her forehead. Soon Geet's breathing evened out and she felt deep into slumber. Maan knew that Geet was way drunk and would most likely not remember most of the night conversation but he would. Overcome by some tender emotion he pressed a kiss on Geet's forehead lingering just a bit.
Smiling he said softly to himself," Goodnight Geet."
Yoon chahat ho na jaaye, mohabbat ho na jaaye

Maan carefully left the room leaving Geet and muskaan without making any sound so they don't get disturbed. As he reached Geet's room and prepared to sleep he purposefully avoided any lingering thoughts regarding his feelings for Geet. When you know you can't acknowledge something it is better to avoid it. He was already going through an emotional war, he didn't need one more.

Annie was furious. This is the limit. Why can't he ever be on time for anything? She never really was the girl for clubbing. But here she came just when Vicky requested her. As if she could ever deny anything under the full blast of his puppy dog eyes!!
A tap on her shoulders made her turn back. Looking up she felt annoyance rising up.
"Hello Anwesha!!"
"For God's sake man, can't you just call me Annie?"
The irritating smirk on his face was unbearable. Why did this man have so much power to get under her skin? And watching him, she knew that he was doing it purposefully. He knew the exact effect he had on her. Avoiding her question he asked one of his own.
"I thought you hated clubbing... did you change your mind?"
"If you aren't going to answer my questions don't expect me to answer yours."
"Which question Miss Anwesha?"
The smirk was more irritating if possible.
"For God's sake Arjun, bother someone else."
"But it's fun bothering you Anwesha."
Annie released an exasperated sigh as she decided to ignore Arjun and his irritating presence and tried calling Vicky for the nth time.
"Your boyfriend ditched you or something?"
"Can't you see your presence is not welcome?"
He downright laughed making Annie angrier.
"Anwesha, if my presence is so unwelcome, why bother answering me?"
Annie looked up at him as their eyes met. Hers held anger while his held curiosity.
"Look Arjun, please leave me alone. "
Turning to the bartender she asked for a coke and paid the bill. Beside her she could hear Arjun order a whiskey.
"So miss Anwesha, a soft drink? Why, can't handle anything stronger? Afraid?"
Annie looked at him. She knew what he was trying and she would be damned if she let him be successful.
"You know me how many years now Arjun? Don't you understand that there are some lines I won't cross no matter what the temptation is? I don't drink. I won't start just to prove to you how I handle my drink. "
"Until an hour ago I believed you don't like pubs as well...People change Esha and so does situations..."
Oh that name, his nickname for her!!!
"Somethings never change, like attitude and intentions..."
"What about second chances?"
"Not everybody deserves second chance Arjun. Some things are not worth second chances."
"What we have doesn't deserve a second chance?"
Annie looked at him and could read every emotions swirling in the depth of his eyes. But she can't afford getting lost in them.
"What we had Arjun. It's in past, one that I don't want to revisit. I have moved on and am in a very happy relationship. My boyfriend loves me and I don't want you to ruin that for me."
Arjun was quiet. Her words had hurt him and the pain was clearly reflected in his eyes. He blinked and took a deep breath as if trying to swallow the hurt.
"You cannot take all the decisions alone Anwesha."
"Don't force me to bring Maan bhai into this Arjun. I didn't tell him anything so your friendship doesn't get ruined. But I will if you don't let go."
"I have been friends with Maan for a long time but I would risk it all just to fight for you."
"Why am I not surprised? I used to think that only love doesn't matter for you. I am wrong. Friendship doesn't matter to you either."
"As usual you misunderstood me Anwesha. You have always misunderstood me. And here I am still trying to repair what we have. But I bet, my friend, my best friend Maan would never misunderstand me. You always make it sound like I was the sole reason we are not together anymore. That is so wrong. You are equally responsible. "
"Then why even bother? Let me go and be happy with someone else."
"I can't be happy with someone else. I love you Anwesha."
"Look, I am already in a new relationship. Why can't you stop pursuing me?"
"Fine, tell me why you are with Vicky and I will let you go?"
Annie looked at him. How to answer that one question?
"What, you don't have any answer?"
"Vicky loves me."
"That's vicky's reason to be with you. But why are you with him?"
