Does not Karthik's father and Dadi have more experience about life and his dadi even mentions young love is blind. She understands what it is like to be in love when you are that young. As you get older and experience married life and start having kids of your own your perspective changes.
That is reflected in the difference between our views of what is being shown.
My upbringing is such that I have been exposed to cultures outside India so I am actually more open minded about things than people living in India who may hold traditional views. I can relate more to the Goenka family views. I try to take the best of both cultures and apply it to my own situation. The forum is very one sided as far as views and all I'm trying to address is the views from the point of the parents. How they may see and understand and view the situation. This is a discussion. There is no need to attack someone else view just because it is not the same as yours. We are all entitled to our opinions.
I am actually intrigued by the Goenka family and look forward to understanding the stories behind their family which is yet to be unraveled. Kaira is one relationship in the show. I'd like to explore the other relationships that are also important in a family.
