Profile photo keeps changing back to old photo[VB note:11]

I keep trying to update my profile photo because I've had it for a while and want to use a new photo and it stays up for a bit but then it goes back to the old photo by itself after a few minutes making me have to change it back to the new photo I want constantly! So frustrating. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a save button I am missing or what, what do I need to do? 😭

Hey Billicat, I think you got that member wrong. I guess the member meant that the picture gets changed automatically. For example with me, on mobile, I see the old Avatar but when I am on Laptop, I see the new one. Or it changes everytime. Other members asked me why I do change my Avatar everytime but my answer is always that I changed weeks ago.
It takes months until I-F gets it that I have changed the Avatar. 😆 I don't know why this happens.
Please let the technical Team know this. And please tell them to increase the bit of Pictures. Whenever I want to update my Avatar, first thing I need to do is to crop the bigger until I-F accepts it. 🥱 Sometimes it takes an hour to make this site accept the photos.🥱 Before changing the Icon or background of IF they need to solve this first.

I am using Mozilla Firefox and I have tried but I didn't understand what I should do when I open the Avatar in New Tab?

In Chrome Browser:

I would suggest to test whether your Image has been successfully updated or not. You can do it by right clicking on the Profile Image.

It will give you the option: Open Image in New Tab. In case its showing the old image

it works like it is mentioned after adding some random number but we have to crop according to the old photo so doesn't work really well...

Go to dashboard >> update profile >> prefernces >> scroll down to last option Avtar Link >> copy image** address (chrome) / image location (firefox) and paste the link at the blank box >> submit. It should work. After reloading the page you would see the image beside the blank box. It will be your profile photo.

** At first open the image/gif you want to make your profile photo in a new tab. Then by right clicking on the photo select "copy image address" for chrome or "copy image location" for firefox. The address should contain http// and .jpg or .gif at the end.

I'm also facing the same problem as TM.

I'm facing the same problem . Is it a technical glitch or something to do with chrome browser ?
