I have not seen Befikre. So cannot say fully. But trailers were one of the major points. While BM's trailer immediately attracted young kids to watch, Befikre trailer immediately put off parents.

Adi can promote and distribute the movie successfully with his resources (which low budget movie makers cannot). But he is not a star director, whose name itself is enough to pull audience (like Basu Chatterjee, Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Raj Hirani). Star directors can give hit movies without big stars. Raju Hirani has given a hit with bloated Sanjay Dutt. Even KJo has given a hit movie with new comers. Adi still does not have confidence. (If he had introduced fresh faces for Befikre, would it have made as much money as SOTY?)
