Chapter 19
Suman enters the room slowly, headed toward the bed where her daughter is lying, holding her dad's hand lovingly. Tears streaming down from her eyes, she can't thank God enough for keeping her baby safe. She sobbes, Shravan smiles weakly. Suman comes near Kriya & places her hand over her tiny arm. She looks weak, there are bandages on her head, hand and some many parts of her tiny body. Her poor baby! Suman touches Kriya's forehead lovingly.
"Hey baby", she whispers to her, placing a soft kiss on her forehead.
Kriya opens her eyes, smiles seeing her mom and assures her that she's fine now. Its just doctor who said her to keep calm as she's weak, she pouts. Suman smiles weakly. Kriya asks for her brother. At that moment Krish enters, stands beside his sister's bed. He is still crying.
"hey cry baby! Stop! I am okay now", Kriya says to her brother.
Krish cries a little louder seeing those bandages on her.
"Bohot dard ho raha hai, choti?", he manages to say between sobbing.
"Stop crying okay? Ladkiyo ki tarha rona bandh karo!", Kriya says.
He hugs his sister. Shravan & Suman smile happily seeing them both.

"Sanchi, beta tu aa gayi", Pallavi says as Suman enters the room banging the door behind her.
Suman looks on angrily.
"Stop calling me that. I am not Sanchi"
"kya hua beta?", Pallavi asks caressing Suman's face but she moves away.
"Don't fake concern okay? Will you please explain why did you hurt my daughter? What she did to you? Explain", Suman yells.
"Kya bol rahi hai beta?", Pallavi says nervously unable to meet her gazes.
"You clearly know what am I talking about. Aur mujhe beta bulana bandh ki jiye. Last ek saal main aapke saath thi aapki beti bankar. Mujhe laga Sanchi ki kami agar thoda sa pura kar saku toh..? Par aapne mujhe kabhi beti mana hi nehi. How could you? Kriya...meri bacchi ko aapne dhakka diya terance se? Uski kya galti thi? Aur jhooth mat boliye. I checked out CCTV footage in the staircase. It clearly showed First you went to terrance then Kriya. And then you only came back silently when my daughter fell from...", Suman bursts into tears.
"I just didn't want to loose you..I was afraid that you'll leave me one day", Pallavi finally speaks up.
"And for this, you threatened me not to meet my husband and kids since one year!", she fumes.
"I am sorry.."
"Aap bhi ek maa hai naa? Aapko toh pata hoga kaisa lagta hai apne bacche se door rehna!"
Pallavi sits on the floor, losing balance, Suman doesn't bother to look at her. Shravan enters.
"Look at him. He's my husband. Aapko pata hai inhe mere siva neend nehi aati, office se lautke jab tak ye meri haat ka coffee nehi peete inka thakaan nehi door hota, humare bacche mere lori sune bina sote nehi the. Aur mujhe nehi pata ye ek saal inhone kaise bitaye mere bina. Maine kaise bitaye ye toh aapne dekha naa?", she asks Pallavi.
Shravan holds Suman while she was about to fall, losing balance. She looks up crying.
"I won't stay here for a single moment anymore. Take me home please", she pleads.
Shravan looks at Pallavi sadly.
"I will miss you two", Vandy says hugging Krish & Kriya making them smile.
"We too badi maa", both the kids say in unison.
"awww badi maa? That sounds so good!", Vandy kisses them on cheeks.
Malhotra family bids farewell to Shravan, Suman & kids. Ramnath apologises to Suman willing to tell Shravan everything but Suman forbids him to tell Shravan about her accident caused by him as this will hurt him. Ramnath blesses Suman & says Shravan was right, she's the perfect one for him. She smiles.

"We're home, finally!", Shravan sighs in content.
Suman smiles while kids sit on the sofa, tired.
"Hey babies! Get up! Fresh hoke rest karlo, I am making dinner!", She says.
Kids get up & go to their room while Shravan intently stares at Suman, she smiles. He walks toward her while she handed him a towel & pushing to bathroom.
"Go and take shower", she says smiling.
At dinning table.
"Whats for dinner?"
"Sev ki sabji and gobi ke parathe for Kriya and papa. Rajma chawal for Krish & mumma", Suman says happily.
They have their dinner together after so many time. How much they missed it!
At night.
"Mumma do you know papa sings so well!", Krish informs while Suman is caressing his hair to make him fall asleep.
"Accha?", she smiles knowingly.
She knows well about her husband's this talent just doesn't want to fade away her son's excitement.
"Yup. Papa used to sing lullaby for us till now", Kriya adds.
Suman sighs happily hugging her babies. She recalls her promise which she took from Shravan that he'll take care of their babies if she's not there. He fulfilled his promise as always!

Suman enters her room at night & finds Shravan sitting on the couch reading a file, he looks the cutest in speces. She stares at him. He looks up & finds her standing at the door quiet. He spreads his arms and she walks toward him, sits on his lap, encircling her arms around his neck, resting her head on his shoulder. He smiles. She trails down kisses on his neck.
"Kya baat hai!!! Mrs. Malhotra being romantic all on a sudden", he teases.
"Just making sure that you know how much I missed you"
"I missed you too wifey!"
She pulls him by his coller and kisses him passionately. He pulls her closer by her waist. After a while they break apart for catching breaths. He takes her in arms & walks toward their welcoming bed. He makes her lay on the bed while she pulls him closer to her. Moments for which they waited for long.

"Jaana zaroori hai?", Shravan asked Suman for the seventh time.
She sighs in content, pausing and looking at her husband while she is folding her sarees for packing them. She goes near him, holds his face in both hands lovingly.
"Its Anjali's baby shower and you're too much busy with cases moreover kids are busy with exams. So at least I have to attend naa?", she says and pecks his lips softly.
"3 din ke liye jaana zaroori hai? I mean...", his words get cut short as she takes his lips into hers again.
"Itne dino baad mil rahi hoon...", she tries to explain.
"But I missed you Sumo!", he says taking her into a heart warming hug.
"I missed you too, baby", she says running her lips over his stubble.
"You need to stop doing that, biwi. Otherwise you won't be able to go anymore anywhere", he says closing his eyes, feeling her in every sense.
"Okay then! Help me out in packing my bag"

"Its been 8 hours and I've already started missing her", Shravan says in disappointment.
He walks into the kitchen, to get some water to drink. He sees Suman standing there, wearing a lime green saree which he gifted her on their first date. He smiles. She turns back to him & smiles lovingly getting him awestruck.

He slowly goes near her, hugging her from behind, resting his chin over her shoulder. She closes her eyes feeling his touches.

Mere dil ki dhadkan bhi
Tere geet gaati hai
Pal pal dil ke paas tum rehte ho
He inhales her fragrance, her familiar fragrance. He kisses on her ear lightly making her gasp & chest heaving.

"And what excuse you made?", Shravan asks his wife who returned from her best friend's baby shower function all on a sudden.
Suman blushes.
"I said I need to go home!", she murmurs, nuzzling into the crook of his neck.
"Because your husband is so irresistible and you can't wait to return home and...?", he teases.
"Shut up! Don't get so proudy"
"Bolo naa..."
"Its because I want to let you know that I love you and can't stay away from you anymore!", she whispers in a husky voice.
"I love you Mrs. Malhotra more than I can say more than you can imagine!", he says cuddling with her.
