Chapter 18
Shravan holds Suman, she looks lifeless. He shakes her arms, calling her name but no response. Neither she's reacting nor she is moving a little, just sitting on the floor calm. He hugs her tightly, crying. She comes back to reality & shouts Kriya's name, bursting into tear. Hugging each other tightly, they try to sooth the pain.

"Bacchi ke body mein khoon chadhana hai. Aap mein se kisi ka blood group O positive hai?", the Doctor asks Malhotra family.
"Haan haan, Pushkar ka blood group O positive hai", Vandy manages to tell between sobbing.
Pushkar was standing in front of the room where Kriya was kept, laying unconscious. He cries silently, while Krish is leaning against him, standing silently.
-Flashback
"Chachu, aapko pataa hai meri dost jo hai, Ananya uski mamu ki shaadi hai next week woh bohot excited hai", Kriya says happily.
She is sitting on her favourite chachu's leg, while he is moving his legs lifting her up in the air playfully.
"Accha! How exciting! Toh tumhe shopping jana hai, Senorita?", he asks.
"Woh to jana hi hai", she agrees.
"Then lets go!!"
"Haan par kab tak main dusro mamu, masi ki shaadi mein jaungi, jab ke humari family mein hi shaadi karni chahiye kisi ko", she says in a serious tone.
Pushkar laughs out loud. His 5 years old niece is the cutest creature on the earth. From where she learnt these?
"Hawww princess! Aapko shaadi karni hai? Thik hai toh main aaj hi aapke papa aur mumma se baat karta hoon, par ladka humare pasand ka hona chahiye! Jo roz apni homework karta ho, jo kisi ke saath jhagarta nehi", he says playfully.
She facepalms in disappointment.
"Offo! Main aapki baat kar rahi hoon, silly!"
"Beta! Tujhe kisne bola ye topic chedhne ko?", he asks caressing her cheek.
Kriya looks at the door worryingly, where Suman is stranding & signals her not to tell her name. Pushkar looks at the door, Suman gives a guilty smile. Kriya laughs & leaves.
"Sumo, tum saare milke mere piche kyun pare ho? Kya jaldi hai shaadi ko?"
"Hello! You're 29. Abhi shaadi nehi karega to kab karega? Jab daant gid jayenge aur baal safed ho jayenge, tab?"
"Nehi abhi toh kandhe pe bohot badi zimmedari hai, usse pura kiye bina main nehi karunga shaadi"
"Accha aur woh kya?"
"Beti ki shaadi..jab tak meri Kriya ko kisi acchi si family mein vyaah na doon, mujhe cheyen nehi"
Suman bursts into laughter.
"Shaadi se bhaagne ke liye meri bacchi ka bahana mat bana"
"Arey nehi. Tu nehi samjhegi, ek chachu ka zajbat"
"Yeah sure!", she again bursts into laughter.
He laughs too.
"Bohot pyaar karta hai naa, apni Senorita se?", she asks smiling.
He nods yes.
"Tu sahi kehti thi Sumo, jab pregnant thi, tu humesha kehti thi naa ke ye ehsaas sirf tera aur bhaiya ka nehi, mera bhi hai. Jis din Krish aur Kriya ka janam hua, hospital mein aisa laga main apne bhai aur bhabi ko nehi kisi do naye insaan ko dekh raha hoon, tum dono khushi mein ro rahe the, babies ko godh mein leke", he recalls the memories lovingly.
"Main ye bhi kehti thi, bhale hi mujhe ya Shravan ko bacche paalne ki experience naa ho, par baccho ke chote papa hai naa, sab samhal lega woh"
"And I promise main humesha inn dono ka khyaal rakhunga. Inhe har musibat se bachaunga", he makes promise to her.
"Accha tu mujhe ye bata tu use Senorita kyun bulati hai?"
"Chhor na yaar"
"arey bol na!"
Suman keeps insisting him to tell the secret behind this silly nickname.
"Woh actually meri pehli girlfriend ka Senorita thi aur woh bohot beautiful thi, just like our little princess, so..."
"Oh ho! Toh girlfriend? Matlab bagal mein chori aur sheher mein dhindora?"
"Arey uski shaadi ho chuki hai"
"What? Hard luck", Suman chuckles.
"So funny!", Pushkar says sarcastically.
Flashback ends-
Pushkar cries more.
"Sorry Sumo, tujhe kiya hua promise nehi niva paya main", he utters.
Vandy comes & informs him about blood transfusion. He goes to the doctor, nurse comes to proceed some necessary tests.

Shravan holds Suman's hand and makes her head rest on his shoulder. Tears are streaming down silently from both's eyes. The plane is about to fly off.
-Flashback
"Do I look fat?", Suman asks her busy husband for the fifth times, looking at her own stomach.
Shravan sighs & keeps the file which he was reading, or trying to read. The actual fact is he can't concentrate on anything else when his beautiful childish wifey is around, All because of the recent development in their life, her pregnancy. Its not only her, but he is also feeling the new heart warming experience. She is 6th month's pregnant & almost all the time she keeps her hand softly over her stomach, as if protecting their baby, opss babies. They got to know its twin.
Few days back, when doctor informed about it, she was crying! She never looked so cute before then. He stared at her and she cried resting her head on his shoulder, holding hands.
"Chashmish, have you heard what doctor said? Its twin", she says smiling.
He smiles & places a soft kiss on her nose, nodding yes.
"I want a sweet beautiful junior Sumo", he says.
"And I want a naughty handsome chotu sa Shravan, bilkul tumhari tarha", she says patting on his nose.
At night.
Both are laying on their bed, intertwining their hands, her head resting on his chest, his one arm encircling her lovingly.
"Accha Sumo, I was thinking humari beti ki bhi kabhi shaadi hogi na..she'll be the prettiest bride of this universe!", Shravan sighs in content.
Suman chuckles.
"Smarty, she has not even come to world and you're planning for her marriage already...thats so cute", she says playfully, turns toward him.
They lay there looking at each other silently. She keeps his hand over her stomach lovingly.
"Aur jab humari beti apne sasural chali jayegi sab se jyada tum rowge", she claims.
"Hold on hold on. Why will she go to in law?"
"Chashmish, grow up! Why won't she? Main shaadi karke tumhare saath aa gayi naa?"
"Haan par meri princess humesha mere saath rahegi. Hum naa ghar jamai rakh lenge uske hubby ko"
Suman giggles. This man is crazy!
Shravan brings his face at the level of her stomach, lovingly talking to his babies.
"Hey there! My love, hope you two are doing well! Me and your mommy bear are waiting for you two so eagerly, come ASAP. We have thousands of things to do together.
Yours
Papa", he says kissing over her tummy.
Suman gets teary eyes. She bents down and pecks his lips.
Shravan smiles recalling all those moments.
"No, wifey you're the cutest when you're fluffy. And I want you to remain like this forever. I mean after arrival of out first babies, we can work on another session, and I love my pregnant Sumo more!", he says making her turn crimson red.
Flashback ends-

"Shravan, tu chinta mat kar. Hum sabki duayein hai, kuch nehi hoga humari beti ko", Varun consoles his brother, who is crying since he came to hospital along with Suman.
The moment Shravan & Suman entered, Krish runs toward them, hugs Suman tightly, sobbing.
"Mumma Kriya iss duniya ki sabse acchi ladki hai naa? Toh usko chot kyun lagi? Why is she suffering, mumma!"
Suman was spellbound. She just hugs her baby. Shravan and Suman go inside, find Pushkar sitting on the chair tensed, crying. Shravan & Suman stand in front of the room where Kriya is kept. She is been operated long ago, doctor couldn't assured about her anything as the injuries are quite serious.
Shravan keeps hand on the glass window, as if touching his unconscious daughter lovingly, Suman keeps her hand over his hand, assuring the daddy that his princess will be okay. He hugs her and breaks down into tears. He controlled his tears enough. She caresses his back softly.
"Sumo I won't be able to survive if anything happens to my baby, I just can't..."
"Shhh calm down Shravan, nothing will happen to our baby."

Suman searches for Krish around. He is not there. She asks Vandy, Pushkar, none have any idea. She goes near the praying hall, little Krish is sitting in front of idol of goddess, praying for his sister. Suman goes & joins him, caressing his hair.
-Flashback
"Kriya, study well otherwise you'll fail. Kal tumhara exam hai, be serious", Krish claims in annoyance.
"Offo you're so boring, Krish. Kabhi kabhi toh lagta hai tum mere twin bro ho hi nehi. I mean itna boring?"
"Haan mujhe bhi yehi lagta hai. Padhai mein bilkul dhyaan nehi hai tumhara. And yes, call me bhaiya. I am elder to you"
"Whatever", the little girl says, blowing the hair strands which were fallen in her forehead.
Krish sighs.
"And by the way kal tumhara bhi exam hai naa? Padho padho.", she says suddenly concentrating on her text book.
He is surprised, arching his brows. Suman enters & things get cleared to him, she is pretending to act responsible in front of mumma.
"Aww my babies are studying, ye lo tum dono ka favourite chole bathure", Suman cooed.
"Nehi mumma now I am busy", Kriya says.
Krish giggles.
"Don't worry mumma I'll eat Kriya's one too. I love chole bathure. You keep it here", he signals his mom something.
Suman gets it & leaves smiling, however Kriya hasn't noticed the silent conversation between her mom & brother.
Krish takes the plate & starts eating.
"Yummm mumma is the best cook of the world & chole bathure is the best food ever!"
Kriya couldn't take it more & gets up from her chair, snatching his plate and starts eating.
"Eww woh mera jhoota tha"
"Toh? Hum to twin hai naa, bhaiya...?", she says playfully.
He stares at his sister lovingly. Such a cuteness she is!
At late night, Krish goes to bed after finishing the last revision for the exam while Kriya is still struggling with her studies.
"Aghhh the Math! I hate hate hate it!", she says in annoyance.
She walks toward the room where Krish is sleeping.
"Bhaiya...", she calls him out as sweetly as possible.
"Hmmm?", says sleepy Krish.
"I need your help", she pouts.
He gets up & laughs, messing his baby sister's hair.
"Lets go!"
Flashback ends-
"Bhawan jee please meri behen ko theek kar dijiye. I can't live without her", Krish cries, joining his hands together.
Suman sighs wiping her tears.

Shravan looks at unconscious kriya through glass window.
-Flashback
"Sumo, Krish & Kriya ne abhi abhi chalna shuru kiya hai, isn't it so exciting? Main Kriya ke liye payal laya hoon, jab bhi woh chote chote kadmo se idhar udhar ghoomegi uski awaaz sunai dega, isn't it adorable?", says an excited Shravan.
Suman smiles.
Shravan goes to their room where Kriya is sleeping peacefully, he makes her wear the tiny anklets & kisses on her sleepy face. She got all her mom's beauty. Those big eyes, cheeks, eyelashes, lips - everything. May be thats why he adore her a little more. Suman stares at father daughter dueo & captures the moment in camera.
Flashback ends-
"Mr. Shravan? Are you okay?", a voice breaks the chain of his thoughts.
Shravan clears his throat to coherent sentence.
"How is my daughter now, doctor?"
"She is out of danger now, the injuries are not so serious that we've thought", the doctor says with assuring smile.
Shravan lets out a sigh of relief & thanks God.
"And as you can see, your daughter is gaining consciousness slowly, she is moving her fingers a little", he points toward Kriya.
Shravan looks there with relief.
"Doctor can I meet her now?"
"Yeah sure but be careful. Don't make her talk so much"
"Yeah Doctor I'll take care of it & thanks!"
Doctor smiles & leaves. Shravan goes inside the room, nurse & another doctor are observing Kriya's movements. Shravan stands near her silent, still crying. Her tiny body got so many bandages, wounds, how much his baby suffered. She slowly opens her eyes & smiles weakly seeing her tensed papa there.
"Hey beautiful! Thank God you're okay", he says placing a kiss on her forehead.
She blinks & moves her lips a bit, trying to form some words but unable due to weakness.
"Easy baby. Tell me in sign. Do you need anything?", he asks.
She nods yes & spreads her hands in air little, forming a hug. Shravan smiles and hugs his baby trying not to hurt wounds.
"Mumma, bhaiya..", she finally speaks up after breaking the hug.
Shravan asks the nurse to call his wife & son. The nurse does so.
