Why did Karan admit the crime?

I think he still did not remember what happenned on that day on the terrace...and with the story of Mansingh...I think he started believing that he must have killed Gujral...and he admitted.Now the twist will be Mansingh Chauhan will find some other clue which creates a doubt that Karan might not be the killer...and he starts investigating.

Karan didnt kill him because they showed a different scene when karan was explaining it to the judge then actually what happened.

The guy who killed him was wearing a costume. When Karan explained it they showed him as himself with no attire on top while he shot the bow & arrow.
