SRK Rejected Kjo - Karan Malhotra's Mv, later Kjo Approached HR

Filmmaker Karan Johar's last film 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' had performed reasonably well on the box office. The ace filmmaker is now prepping up for his next film and he had reportedly approached Shah Rukh Khan to play the lead for the same. Karan and SRK have been good friends and we all are aware of the fact that the duo have given many hit films together.
SRK seems to be keeping his priorities first when it's about taking up projects and has turned down KJO's offer- which means no film with Dharma for now.
A report in a popular tabloid quoted a source stating, "Shah Rukh wasn't happy with the script, and hence walked out of the film, despite the makers trying to convince the actor. Karan then called Hrithik to fill in for the role. Much to their relief, the Kaabil actor agreed to be in the movie, at the last minute".(sic)
The source also informed the publication that Deepika Padukone who is busy with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati will be paired opposite to Hrithik in the film.
Shah Rukh and Hrithik are already giving a cut throat competition to each other with their respective release 'Raees' and 'Kaabil' that clashes on the box office on 25th January, 2017.

I hope they take Deepu opposite HR! Anyway she doesn't have anything after Paddu.
Also HR desperately needs an A list actress.

Karan malhotra said HR was their first choice. anyways if the cast has been locked, please announce it, its either deepika or anushka opposite HR because Sara opposite him will be bizzare

I think SRK took the right decision

I don't see directors under Dharma Productions hiring SRK for films any time soon. Unless the film is being directed by Karan Johar.
